The team is a multidisciplinary group of cloud experts, designers, business consultants, security specialists, engineers and developers covering cloud, data and cyber security.

The role is a Cloud Solution Architect position in the Distributed Cloud area.

Responsibilities

• Turn business requirements into viable, secure and scalable technology solutions that follow EDP's reference architecture.
• Produce logical architecture designs of low to medium complexity and make sure systems integrate smoothly.
• Design and specify robust API patterns and integration frameworks that connect heterogeneous systems, including SAP, web and mobile platforms and cloud applications.
• Give architecture guidance across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), web and mobile architectures and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions.
• Define and enforce application and technology security rules in line with architecture governance.
• Persuade and mentor technical teams to adopt these standards.
• Act as the link between business stakeholders, development teams and Competency Centers so solutions meet current needs and future scale.
• Create and maintain clear, high-quality architecture documents, diagrams and blueprints under established governance frameworks.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or a similar field.
• Up to 10 years of experience in solution architecture or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of core technology components and architecture patterns, including APIs and enterprise application integration, cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or GCP), the SAP enterprise landscape, web and mobile application development, and AI fundamentals and applications.
• A solid grasp of architectural building blocks, logical design and API specification.
• At least one recognised architecture certification, such as Microsoft, AWS, GCP, TOGAF or an equivalent.
• A critical, problem-solving mindset and a strong focus on delivery quality.
• Clear written and spoken communication, with the ability to influence and work across global, multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
