See your CV the way a machine does

Most CVs are read by software before a person sees them. We read yours the same way, on its own, say what it managed to pull out, and name what to fix first.

Start with your CV

Add your CVPDF or DOCX, up to 4 MB. Drop it here or choose a file. It is read, not published anywhere.

What it does

It reads, or it doesn't

A file a parser cannot get words out of is a file nobody reads. That is the first thing we check, and the first thing worth fixing.

The tools a search can find

Which technologies come out of the text at all, and how they are spelled. A CV that names none is a CV a keyword search never returns.

What changed because of you

How many of your lines carry a figure. Bullets that say what you were responsible for read as a job description; bullets with numbers get remembered.

Level, years, languages, contacts, length

Whether the dates add up to an experience filter, which languages you claim, whether anyone can reach you, and whether a busy reader finishes it.

How it works

  1. Drop your CV here

PDF or DOCX, up to 4 MB. It is read on our server and kept on your profile.

  2. We read it the way a parser does

Nothing to compare it against: the file on its own, the same checks every time, and nothing invented.

  3. Fix it in the order we give you

Broken first, then worth a minute, then what is already right. The order is the advice.

It runs on this page, on your own CV and nothing else, and the result stays on your profile so the whole board is scored against it.

Questions

Do I need an account to run it?

No. Drop your CV and you see what it says and the first checks right here. An account opens your first full check and keeps the CV on your profile.

Why does it not ask for a job link?

Because this tool is about your CV, not about one vacancy. A CV can be unreadable, unfindable or unmemorable on its own, and being told that shouldn't wait for you to have a job in mind. When you do have one, Tailor CV lines this same CV up with it.

What if I don't have a CV at all?

Then start from your answers, not a blank page. Press "I don't have a CV yet": if you have answered the Fits Me questions we write the outline from your field, level and stack, with the rest in brackets to fill in; if you haven't, the questions take a couple of minutes.

Do you keep my CV, and does anyone else see it?

It stays on your profile so the other tools can use it, and you can replace or remove it at any time. A CV read before you have an account is read and not kept. We never send it to an employer: applying is always you pressing send.
