1What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar storage in your browser (local storage) is covered here too. Some are needed for a site to work, others help measure or advertise, and those need your permission.
2The cookies we set

| wj_consent | Remembers your cookie choices. | Necessary | 180 days |
| wj_region | Remembers whether the cookie rules of the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland apply where you are, read from the country of your connection. It holds that answer only, not the country. | Necessary | 30 days |
| wj_fit | Keeps your Fits Me answers on this device until you create an account. Set only when you finish the quiz. | Necessary | 180 days |

| wj_access | Lets you use the site while it is open by invitation only. Set only when you enter an access code the team gave you. | Necessary | 30 days |

| wj:category-hint-seen | Local storage: remembers that you've seen the tip about choosing your specialty. | Necessary | Until you clear it |
| wj:feature-intro-seen | Local storage: remembers that you've seen the short story about Early Window or Direct Apply, so it isn't shown again. | Necessary | Until you clear it |
| __ph_opt_in_out_… | Local storage: remembers that you allowed analytics, or took that back, so your answer is kept. | Necessary | Until you clear it |
| wj_src | Remembers the first page you opened here and the site or link that brought you, so that if you create an account we know which of our pages and channels work. Set only while analytics is on, and deleted once your account holds it. | Analytics | 90 days |
| ph_…_posthog | Cookie and local storage from PostHog, our analytics: tells your visits apart, keeps a visit together and, once you sign in, links it to your account. Set only while analytics is on. | Analytics | 365 days |
| _wuid | Cookie and local storage from Whop, our payment provider: tells your visits apart, so Whop can see which of our ads brought you. Set only while marketing is on. | Marketing | 730 days |
| _wuid_link, _wuid_link_seen, _wfp, _wsc | Cookies and local storage from Whop: link your visits across our subdomains and recognise this browser. Set only while marketing is on. | Marketing | Up to 2 years |
| whop_verify | Session storage from Whop: checks a visit that came from one of our ads. Set only while marketing is on. | Marketing | Until you close the tab |
All of them are set on WAYjOB!'s own domain and aren't read by other websites. Analytics data goes to PostHog, which processes it for us in the EU. Marketing data goes to Whop.
3Analytics and marketing
Where you are decides the starting point. In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and wherever we can't tell the country of your connection, analytics and marketing stay off until you allow them. Everywhere else they are on until you switch them off, and a browser that sends Global Privacy Control has marketing off from the start.
With analytics off, it runs without cookies: PostHog counts page views and actions using a daily anonymous hash on its servers, and nothing is stored on your device or linked to your account.
With analytics on, PostHog also keeps its cookie, records your visits so we can see where the site gets in the way (everything you type and your email address are hidden in recordings), and links your visits to your account when you sign in. Taking the permission back deletes that cookie.
Measuring how fast the site is doesn't use cookies or storage at all, so it isn't in the table above and there's nothing to allow or refuse: your browser reports the page's route, which measurement it was and the number to our hosting provider, and nothing is kept on your device or linked to you.
With marketing on, Whop's script loads and keeps the cookies above. Whop then learns which pages you visit and the steps you take here (signing up, saving a search, applying), with your email and account id once you sign in, and reports them to the ad networks we advertise on, such as Meta, so we can see which ads work. With it off none of this loads or is sent, and switching it off deletes Whop's cookies.
4Your choices
Open Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page to allow or refuse each optional category, or change your mind later. We ask again when your choice is 180 days old or when we add a new category.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary ones, signing in and saving your choices won't work.
