Description

The company builds k0rdent AI, a declarative control plane that manages mixed GPU infrastructure from bare metal up to models, without tying customers to one hyperscaler or hardware vendor.

The company is hiring a Head of Solutions Architecture to own the technical side of wins, build a pre-sales organization from scratch, and lead architecture strategy on large, long compute deals.

This is an executive technical partner role, not a demo role. You will advise NeoClouds, AI-native startups, enterprise AI teams, research labs, and sovereign buyers, debate interconnect topologies, build TCO models that test hyperscaler economics, create reusable pre-sales tools, and feed field insight into the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Spend about 40% of your time building the pre-sales function: hire, coach, and keep a strong team of Solutions Architects and Field Engineers, and set up the global pre-sales operating model as headcount and deal volume grow.
  • Create reusable field assets such as discovery frameworks, reference architectures, TCO and benchmark models, POV playbooks, and RFP response libraries.
  • Raise the technical bar across the team and run enablement so every SA can discuss GPU architecture, high-speed fabrics, and container orchestration credibly.
  • Spend about 40% of your time winning strategic deals: act as the technical executive alongside Account Executives on enterprise opportunities with 6 to 18+ month sales cycles and multi-million-dollar ACV/TCV.
  • Qualify deals with MEDDPICC or an equivalent method, map decision criteria, identify economic buyers, and build win plans around technical champions.
  • Design end-to-end solutions across compute, networking, storage, and orchestration, and produce sizing, capacity plans, and TCO comparisons against public clouds and self-built setups.
  • Design and run POVs and POCs with strict success criteria agreed upfront, run performance benchmarks, and turn results into commercial progress.
  • Spend about 20% of your time as the technical voice of the customer: send structured product, capacity, and feature requirements to product management, engineering, and supply planning.
  • Work closely with the NVIDIA field ecosystem, including the Cloud Partner program, reference architectures, and joint pursuits, to win strategic accounts.
  • Shape roadmap priorities, packaging, and go-to-market strategy using real field feedback.

Requirements

  • Pre-sales leadership experience at a NeoCloud, a hyperscaler AI organization, or an accelerated-hardware vendor.
  • Proven record of leading technical sales in complex B2B settings, ideally on multi-year committed or reserved capacity deals.
  • Track record of hiring, developing, and leading Solutions Architecture or Field Engineering teams, with enough technical depth to lead hard deals yourself while helping others do the same.
  • Hands-on experience running production ML workloads, including distributed training and multi-node inference, with a solid understanding of bottlenecks across interconnect, memory bandwidth, I/O, and cluster scheduling.
  • Fluency in Hopper and Blackwell architectures (H100/H200, GB200 NVL72, B200) and reference systems (DGX, HGX, MGX), plus a deep understanding of NVLink/NVSwitch domains, InfiniBand, Spectrum-X Ethernet, RDMA/RoCE, and DPUs.
  • Strongly preferred: hands-on experience with Kubernetes for AI (GPU operators, device plugins), KubeVirt, Metal3/Ironic bare-metal provisioning, and Slurm.
  • Strongly preferred: familiarity with high-throughput parallel and object storage for AI pipelines, and with data center physical limits such as power, cooling, and rack density.

Conditions

The company, an IREN company, is a Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure company that builds and runs scalable, secure, sovereign infrastructure for AI and data-heavy applications.

Benefits

  • The company is rated a Leader for Container Management in G2, second only to AWS.
