Description

You will be a senior solution architect and individual contributor in the Core Data Services team, which builds a scalable, modern data platform for business intelligence, analytics and AI across the company.

The team's goal is to make trusted data easy to reach and act on, so every business function can make data-driven decisions.

You will sit in the Delivery Engineering and Architecture group and work with platform engineers, data engineers and other solution architects on high-impact enterprise data solutions.

The company is a global live entertainment leader. Its ticketing business sells over 620 million tickets a year for about 10,000 clients worldwide. Its concerts business promotes more than 50,000 events a year for nearly 7,000 artists in 40+ countries. Its media and sponsorship arm connects over 1,200 sponsors with the 145 million fans who attend its events each year.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document the data warehouse architecture, covering data modeling, ETL pipelines, orchestration, storage and access patterns.
  • Turn business requirements into sound technical designs for real-time, high-volume and low-latency use cases.
  • Build scalable data solutions on Databricks, AWS and other modern tools for large, high-frequency workloads.
  • Design and build APIs and data integration layers so systems interoperate and data can be accessed in real time.
  • Keep improving performance, scalability and cost efficiency across ETL processes, compute and data delivery.
  • Set standards and guide teams on data platform design, ETL development, performance tuning and cost optimization.
  • Work with data engineering, platform engineering, analytics and business stakeholders to align technical work with business results.
  • Champion data quality, lineage, metadata management and compliance.
  • Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation and design templates that teams can reuse.
  • Stay hands-on: you design and build, not only advise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
  • 10+ years in data engineering or architecture, with deep experience in data warehousing and distributed data systems.
  • Proven record of building large-scale, high-throughput pipelines with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, S3 and related technologies.
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT design, data modeling and batch and streaming integration patterns.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, plus familiarity with API development and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, AWS preferred, and with tools such as Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a bias for action and ownership.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences and collaborate well across teams.
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage and security best practices.
  • Certifications in AWS, Databricks or related technologies: a plus.

Benefits

  • Help build the company's next-generation enterprise data platform from the ground up.
  • Work on high-volume, low-latency data problems that have a direct effect on business performance.
  • Collaborate with capable peers across engineering, architecture and product.
  • Have room to design, innovate and deliver strong data solutions.
  • Health: medical, vision, dental and mental health cover for you and your family, a health care concierge, and FSA or HSA accounts.
  • Yourself: free concert tickets, a generous amount of paid time off, paid holidays, sick time and personal days.
  • Wealth: a 401(k) with company match and a stock reimbursement program.
  • Family: new parent programs with caregiver leave and baby bonuses, plus fertility, adoption, foster or surrogacy support.
  • Career: development programs through School of Live, tuition reimbursement and student loan repayment.
  • Others: volunteer time off and a crowdfunding match.
