Description

The company produces large-scale music festivals, club nights and events worldwide, with lighting, pyrotechnics, sound design, art installations and performers that encourage close fan interaction.

Each year it runs about 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for roughly seven million attendees. Events have been held in 13 countries across five continents, and its flagship event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, draws more than 525,000 fans over three days. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since 1993.

The company is growing into motorsports apparel and merchandise, working with major global brands and partners on products that combine music, motorsport and culture.

You will be a marketer who knows Formula 1 and experiential retail, and who can work across traditional and digital channels with drive and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, planning and delivery of integrated retail and consumer-products marketing across the portfolio, building fan experiences that create brand connection, support sales targets and grow awareness, foot traffic and product demand.
  • Work directly with intellectual property partners and coordinate with retail, ecommerce, wholesale, brand, creative, digital, PR, sales and internal teams to turn brand and business goals into marketing plans.
  • Lead without direct authority, through expertise, project ownership, budget responsibility and cross-team influence.
  • Report to the SVP, Consumer Products - Motorsports. Work at sporting events and travel roughly 30%, domestically and internationally.
  • Set campaign briefs, strategic recommendations, timelines, success measures and launch plans for priority initiatives.
  • Generate ideas for distinctive retail, product, content and fan moments that strengthen brand storytelling.
  • Use consumer insights, market trends, retail results, campaign data and competitor activity to find opportunities and recommend strategy.
  • Plan campaigns across social, digital ads, email, PR, influencers, retail partnerships and on-site activations.
  • Run assigned campaigns end to end, keeping work on time, on brand, on budget and aligned with approved strategy.
  • Build coordinated content and social plans with intellectual property digital teams that support campaign goals and long-term brand positioning.
  • Direct campaign asset development with intellectual property creative teams and internal groups so assets meet creative, brand and channel standards.
  • Manage agencies, vendors and marketing partners, including briefs, scope, timelines, deliverables, quality and performance.
  • Track dependencies, approvals and project plans across partner teams, and resolve risks and delays early.
  • Support product photography, retail marketing, promotional packages and race-event activations as assigned.
  • Manage assigned budgets for campaigns, media, vendors, agencies, production and activations, including spend tracking, forecasting, purchasing and invoicing with Finance and Accounting.
  • Analyse performance, return on investment, cost efficiency, audience engagement and sales results, and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for the SVP, Consumer Products and other key stakeholders on status, results, risks and opportunities.
  • Improve marketing processes, tools and project management practices, and guide junior contributors and partners on them.
  • Work with intellectual property press and PR teams on press releases, publicity and campaign communications.
  • Act as the main link between the company, intellectual properties, agencies, vendors and marketing partners to keep consumer-facing campaigns consistent and effective.
  • Build working relationships with retail, ecommerce, wholesale, creative, digital, sales, finance, legal and operations teams.
  • Explain priorities, status, decisions, risks and recommendations clearly to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Take on other strategic marketing, product, retail and operations work as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Fashion Marketing, Retail Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of increasingly complex experience in retail, fashion, consumer products, brand or ecommerce marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven record of independently running integrated campaigns across digital, social, retail, activation, PR, influencer and partnership channels.
  • Experience managing campaign, agency, media, production or activation budgets and analysing performance, return on investment and cost efficiency.
  • Experience working with creative teams, agencies, vendors, retail partners and cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Solid grasp of retail and consumer marketing, fan or customer engagement, ecommerce, product marketing and consumer trends.
  • Able to juggle several complex campaigns at once, set priorities and meet deadlines with limited oversight.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, budgeting, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Google Docs, plus project management, digital marketing and reporting tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at every level and explain complex plans clearly.
  • Comfortable in fast-changing, high-growth settings, where you create structure, handle ambiguity and shift priorities as needs change.
  • Collaborative, resourceful and proactive, with strong ownership and sound judgment.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel about 30%, including international trips.
  • Willing to work holidays, evenings and weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Able to cope with loud noise and extreme temperatures while working on site at event locations.
  • Able to work in an open-plan office.
  • Applicants in the U.S. must have work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship by Insomniac.
