Description

Portfolio Marketing Associate - GH&B Australia

The Portfolio Marketing Associate supports the development and delivery of the GH&B Australia portfolio business plan, partnering with Portfolio Managers on strategic imperatives and P&L goals.

You will act as a cross-portfolio marketing resource and, as your capability grows, take ownership of assigned products, projects and processes. You will also help run the team's analytical and operational engine by turning sales, market and pricing data into timely insights and providing accurate forecasting inputs.

Working across Key Account Management, Pricing & Tenders, Supply, Finance, Medical, Access & Value and Customer Service, you will coordinate marketing initiatives, customer programs and conferences from brief through to compliant, on-time and on-budget delivery.

This role suits someone who is commercially curious, highly organised, analytical and quick to learn. It offers broad commercial exposure and a strong development platform for a future Portfolio Manager role, while living Pfizer values of Courage, Excellence, Equity and Joy.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, Forecasting & Performance Insights
  • Prepare inputs for Operating Plan, Latest Estimate, Risks & Opportunities and long-range forecasts, including variance bridges.
  • Own monthly sales reporting and maintain market share, competitor and pricing tracking to identify risks and opportunities early.
  • Turn complex data into clear, concise and actionable insights for team, leadership and cross-functional forums.
  • Portfolio Operations & Supply Continuity
  • Coordinate price changes, PBS activity, short-dated stock and product changes with Access & Value, Customer Service and Supply.
  • Support Portfolio Managers and the Commercial Supply Manager with shortage tracking, customer communications and mitigation activities.
  • Maintain accurate portfolio data, trackers and recurring processes so the team has reliable information and a clear source of truth.
  • Marketing Execution & Budget
  • Coordinate campaigns, materials, customer programs and conferences from brief through to in-market delivery.
  • Manage agency briefs, timelines, purchase orders and approval processes.
  • Track A&P expenditure against budget and support associated financial processes.
  • Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget and in compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Be a day-to-day connection point for the marketing team with KAM, Pricing & Tenders, Supply, Finance, Medical, Access & Value and Customer Service.
  • Bring relevant customer, market and competitive insights back into portfolio planning and execution.
  • Build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • AI-Enabled Productivity & Continuous Improvement
  • Use AI and automation to simplify recurring processes, improve data quality and increase the speed of team output.
  • Build and improve practical tools, templates and reports that save time and strengthen portfolio processes.
  • Own tasks through to completion, adapt to changing priorities and escalate appropriately.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, marketing, pharmacy, science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of commercial experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare or a related industry, for example sales, KAM, pricing & tenders, supply, finance, analytics or marketing.
  • Marketing, brand or portfolio exposure is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel and PowerPoint capability, and confidence working with large data sets.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Curious and quick to learn, with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a track record of owning tasks through to completion and knowing when to escalate.
  • A collaborative team player who builds trust and effective relationships across functions.
  • Interest in AI and automation, with a strong commitment to integrity and compliance.
  • Culture & Development
  • Act in line with Pfizer values: Courage, Excellence, Equity and Joy.
