Description

About Polymarket

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.

We're growing fast, both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the Role

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market, and sports is one of our biggest categories. The marketing team is small and moves fast. We don't have a big agency on retainer or a traditional campaign calendar. What we have is a platform that sits at the intersection of sports, news, and money, and a mandate to make the world aware of it in ways that actually stick.

This role exists because guerilla and stunt marketing is one of the highest-leverage things we can do, and we need a dedicated person who owns it end to end. You'll be the one watching the game, spotting the moment, and showing up with something that earns press and goes viral, not because it was planned six months out, but because you moved faster than everyone else. The person who held this role before built a real playbook here. Your job is to run it, expand it, and make it yours.

This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role. You'll work closely with the marketing lead and have real autonomy, but you'll also be expected to operate independently in the field, often on short notice. If you need a lot of structure or sign-off to act, this isn't the right fit. If you thrive on finding the moment and executing before it passes, keep reading.

Responsibilities

  • Identify stunt and activation concepts tied to live sports moments, news cycles, and cultural events, then pitch them fast with a clear point of view on why they'll land
  • Execute on-the-ground activations at stadiums, arenas, sports bars, and public venues, handling logistics, talent, materials, and timing yourself
  • Monitor social media and sports news in real time to spot openings for reactive content or physical activations before the moment passes
  • Coordinate all logistics for guerilla campaigns from concept through execution, including permits, vendors, travel, and on-site management
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of stunt ideas across the major sports calendar so the team is never starting from zero
  • Track campaign performance after each activation, pulling together data on reach, press pickups, social engagement, and earned media to inform what comes next
  • Represent Polymarket in the field in a way that reflects the brand, sharp, credible, and worth paying attention to

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in guerilla marketing, experiential marketing, or stunt-based brand work, with specific examples of campaigns you personally executed
  • A real track record of viral moments, not just campaigns that got approved, but things that actually spread and earned press coverage
  • High sports IQ across major American leagues, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and college sports, with enough fluency to know which moments matter and why
  • Demonstrated ability to execute independently in the field, you've shown up somewhere with a plan and made it happen without a team of ten behind you
  • Comfort operating on short timelines, some of the best opportunities here will have a 24 to 48 hour window
  • (Plus) Existing relationships with sports journalists, beat reporters, or media personalities who cover games and culture
  • (Plus) Experience at a sports betting, DFS, or prediction market brand
  • (Plus) Familiarity with crypto or web3 environments and audiences

Conditions

Base salary range: $240,000 to $260,000, plus equity and benefits.

This is a good-faith range for the level we're hiring at. Experience varies widely within a title here, so if your expectations fall outside it, reach out anyway. We're always happy to talk it through.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary & equity
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage
  • 401k match
  • Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
