Description

The company is a student-led startup building a social media app that aims to connect more people with the real world, with a team spread across more than a dozen countries.

The role is a volunteer-style startup project done in your free time, online and fully remote, and it requires committing some time every week.

The company is looking for a UX Designer to shape the product's user experience, making experiences that are intuitive and user-centered and that flow smoothly across the whole product.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze user needs, behaviors, and feedback to improve the overall user experience.
  • Design user flows, information architecture, and usability tests so navigation feels intuitive.
  • Work closely with UI designers and developers to turn insights into user-centered design solutions.
  • Attend weekly meetings to report progress, share findings, and stay aligned with the product vision.

Requirements

  • Use English at a comfortable level, since the company works in English.
  • Own a drawing pad or graphic tablet, as most designs are handmade.
  • Know design software such as Figma or Photoshop.
  • Work autonomously while communicating well and collaborating with a team.
  • Think creatively and beyond conventional approaches.

Conditions

The position is unpaid, as the company is a student-led startup project that does not yet generate revenue.

The role is mainly suited to students or people who want international experience, practical skills, and exposure to a startup environment.

The work is fully remote and online.

You need to commit some time every week to the project.

Four interview stages: an introductory screening interview, an interview with the CEO about core values, a Q-and-A session to get to know you, and a panel interview where you meet the team.

Benefits

  • Gain hands-on international work experience.
  • Grow professionally within a startup environment.
  • Build a global network, mainly across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.
  • Receive high-quality mentorship covering both hard and soft skills.
  • Have the opportunity to become a permanent employee if the company becomes a unicorn.
