Description

The company is a social media app that aims to help people connect more with the physical world. The team is made up of people from over a dozen countries.

The company is looking for a motivated Visual Designer to help shape the visual identity of this early-stage startup by making strong brand assets and keeping the brand recognisable and distinct.

The role is a startup project done in your free time, and it gives you a way to learn how professional work functions while working with people across borders. It is fully online and remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the brand identity so it looks consistent on every channel, including social media, marketing and the product.
  • Create visual assets, campaigns and content that make the brand easier to recognise and support its storytelling.
  • Work with the marketing and product teams so the visuals match what the audience expects.
  • Attend weekly meetings to present your designs, collect feedback and improve brand work.

Requirements

  • Have a working command of English, since the team communicates in English.
  • Own a drawing pad or graphic tablet, because most of the designs are made by hand.
  • Know design software such as Figma or Photoshop.
  • Be able to work on your own while communicating clearly and collaborating well with others.
  • Think creatively and approach problems in unconventional ways.

Conditions

The role is unpaid because the company is a student-led startup project that does not yet earn revenue.

The role is best suited to students or people who want international experience, practical skills and exposure to a startup.

You need to set aside some time every week for the project.

The work is fully remote.

The hiring process has four stages: a first screening interview, an interview with the CEO about the company's core values, a Q-and-A session to get to know you, and a panel interview where you meet the team.

The company is committed to equal opportunity.

Benefits

  • Gain hands-on experience working internationally.
  • Grow professionally in a startup setting.
  • Build a professional network mainly across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
  • Receive strong mentorship in both technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Have the chance to become a permanent employee if the company grows into a unicorn.
