Description

This senior project manager role focuses on growing manufacturing for the company's Data Center business.

The company aims to scale operations 5x over five years, so the work centres on capacity, scalability and long-term competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level projects that let manufacturing reach a 5x increase in output over five years.
  • In year one, set up material readiness and supply chain processes so production can ramp up predictably and sustainably, covering supply continuity, supplier performance, inventory strategy, long-lead planning and readiness across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Operations.
  • Work across Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Lean and continuous improvement, HR, Finance and Talent Acquisition, partnering closely with senior leaders.
  • Own planning, delivery, risk, change control, stakeholder alignment and value realisation in complex, demanding settings.
  • Turn growth goals into project strategies, milestones and metrics, aligned with manufacturing strategy, capacity forecasts, readiness plans and workforce needs.
  • Be the single point of accountability for end-to-end delivery of strategic growth initiatives.
  • Build growth roadmaps, resource needs and execution priorities with senior leadership.
  • Lead material readiness planning across all phases so materials, components and supplier capacity match production ramp schedules. Run readiness reviews, escalation processes and supply-risk plans.
  • Work with Procurement, Planning and Supply Chain to improve supplier performance, inventory levels and long-lead material management.
  • Develop supply strategies for rapid expansion that keep cost, quality and delivery on target. Resolve constraints that threaten milestones, customer commitments or growth goals.
  • Set metrics and governance that improve forecast accuracy, supply continuity and operational readiness.
  • Apply Lean practices in every project phase using the company's own business system.
  • Schedule and run project kickoffs, steering committees and recurring stakeholder reviews, and give executives regular status reports.
  • Manage projects from initiation to closeout, tracking and communicating critical information while juggling concurrent priorities and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Use analytical, leadership and change management skills to meet objectives while controlling scope, schedule, budget and risk.
  • Lead, coach and mentor teams, and hold them accountable for business results.
  • Direct cross-functional teams and stakeholders, owning deliverables, risks, decisions and plans. Step into key functions when needed, clear blockers and drive timely decisions.
  • Keep Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, HR and other stakeholders aligned as requirements change.
  • Create project charters, integrated schedules, financial models and risk plans. Set up governance and executive reviews, manage scope, schedule, resources and capital changes, and hold each workstream accountable for milestones.
  • Build mitigation plans for schedule, material, supplier, capacity and execution risks. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions, and maintain disciplined change control across all phases.
  • Manage multi-million-dollar capital and operating investment budgets. Track spend, forecasts, variances and return on investment, and work with Finance on financial models and investment decisions.
  • Oversee commissioning, validation, startup and production ramp-up. Ensure training, quality systems, maintenance programs, supply chain and manufacturing operations are ready, and run launch plans that hit growth targets without breaking customer commitments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project management, manufacturing, operations, engineering, supply chain or capital project leadership.
  • PMP certification.
  • A track record leading large-scale manufacturing growth, operational transformation or capacity expansion.
  • Hands-on experience improving material readiness, supply chain performance and operational scaling.
  • Strong leadership that influences across functions and levels.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing systems, operational excellence and project governance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong financial judgement, with experience managing significant capital investments.
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent certification.
  • Preferred: experience in rapid-growth manufacturing environments.
  • Preferred: experience in data center, HVAC, industrial manufacturing or highly configurable product environments.
  • Preferred: background leading supply chain transformation, production readiness or large-scale operational expansion programs.
  • Leadership behaviours sought: strategic growth leadership, material readiness focus, supply chain integration, a hands-on manufacturing drive, cross-functional integration, strategic and tactical thinking, influential communication, execution focus, change leadership and results-driven decision making.
