Senior Project Manager

Description

The company is growing quickly and is hiring Senior Project Managers who have strong leadership skills and technical depth to run complex, high-impact telecom infrastructure projects.

The company designs, builds and maintains wireline and wireless networks across North America and beyond, and you would help shape the networks of the future.

You would guide major work such as fiber optic deployments, wireless infrastructure builds and large-scale network upgrades, keeping projects on schedule, within scope and budget, and up to the industry's quality and safety standards.

At this senior level you would set direction, lead cross-functional teams, improve operational performance and help build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Put safety first and make sure safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded on telecom construction sites.
• Plan and run large telecom projects, including fiber deployments, small cell installations and wireless tower builds.
• Handle risk, permitting and client communication across the full project lifecycle.
• Find and pursue new telecom project opportunities.
• Oversee scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation with industry-standard tools and methods.
• Implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and confirm compliance with telecom construction standards and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams so materials and services arrive on time.
• Negotiate contracts and manage change orders.
• Set up and manage project systems for cost tracking, reporting and documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of project management experience in telecom or utility construction, including leading large, complex infrastructure builds.
• A degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering or a related field is preferred. A diploma or technical training is also accepted.
• A solid grasp of telecom construction methods, permitting processes and standards such as NESC, NEC and local codes.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience with contract negotiation, cost control and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera is a plus, though similar tools also count.

Conditions

This role is mainly hybrid. Remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates, depending on experience, location and business needs.
