Senior Product Manager, OR Solutions

Description

The company makes a Smart Hospital Platform that uses voice-activated sensors and computer vision, running on NVIDIA GPUs, to support real-time observation, virtual nursing and automated documentation inside the EHR.

The platform is live in operating rooms at a growing number of health systems, and OR sales are growing faster than the team can deliver them the same way each time. No one currently owns the OR as a product.

This role is about building that OR offering from scratch: turning everything the company does into a packaged, repeatable product that the commercial team can sell, deploy and expand. You will work on site with the clinical OR lead, win over OR directors, surgeons and nurses, and turn what you learn into a product line with clear ROI and a roadmap based on what really happens in the room.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery for OR accounts, set go-live criteria and make sure the team meets them
• Define and maintain the OR offering, including what is included, what comes later and what is out of scope
• Turn field observations and client requests into written, evidence-backed, ranked requirements, and push them into the roadmap with engineering product managers
• Build the tools that speed up each new site: discovery scripts, workflow documentation, camera layout patterns, validation protocols and sales enablement material
• Work with Sales and Solution Engineering on OR deals, pilot scope and what a site must have in place before the company commits
• Champion OR features on the product roadmap, reporting to engineering PM leadership and working with them to decide what gets built and when
• Represent the OR user across the main application roadmap so the offering stays consistent across all care settings

Requirements

• Deep hands-on operating room experience, enough to discuss the work credibly with an OR director, charge nurse and surgeon in the same meeting
• 5+ years in product management, solutions or a client-facing product role, with a record of being the person who engages the customer directly
• Experience bringing a technology to market in a clinical setting: packaging it, proving its value and driving adoption
• Strong written communication; requirements, specs, discovery findings and enablement material are core deliverables
• Comfortable working with data: reviewing case event data, spotting what does not add up and working out the cause
• Able to build trust quickly with OR staff, who are used to vendors competing for their time
• Able to travel up to 50%; much of the work happens in person rather than over video
• Bonus: clinical background in a perioperative role (RN, surgical technologist or CST)
• Bonus: experience with perioperative systems such as EHR surgical modules, scheduling and case management, anesthesia information systems or OR analytics platforms
• Bonus: familiarity with HL7 and how surgical case data moves between systems
• Bonus: prior work at a health technology vendor deploying into live clinical environments
• Bonus: experience launching a new product line or market segment

Conditions

Remote position based in the U.S.; U.S. work authorization required

Travel of up to 50% is expected
