Description

The company is building its data foundations so that AI can be built on top of them. You will join the Infra Analytics group as a Senior Data Engineer, helping turn data into insights, automation and AI-driven tools across the company's infrastructure business.

The hiring manager, Marie Reinholdson Ifvarson, is looking for an engineer who likes hands-on work and wants to influence how the data and AI platforms evolve. The team values teamwork, sharing knowledge and delivering business value. The company has 15 000 colleagues across the Nordics and Baltics.

Responsibilities

  • Help design data architectures and reliable pipelines that power analytics, automation and AI.
  • Work with developers, architects, product owners and business stakeholders to turn complex needs into secure, scalable solutions.
  • Build and improve scalable pipelines, data products and analytics solutions using efficient ETL and ELT processes.
  • Prepare data for AI through robust architectures, feature engineering and high-quality datasets for analytics and machine learning.
  • Help develop AI-powered solutions, including generative AI, agentic AI and intelligent automation.
  • Keep platforms dependable by focusing on data quality, reliability, observability, performance and security.
  • Raise engineering standards through software engineering, CI/CD and MLOps practice, and by mentoring others and sharing knowledge.
  • The data and platform stack includes SQL, Spark, Trino, PostgreSQL, dbt, Airflow, Luigi, Kubernetes, data modelling and geospatial data.
  • Engineering practice covers CI/CD, DevOps and MLOps.
  • Applied AI work covers predictive analytics, LLM integrations, vector databases, RAG and analytics agents.

Requirements

  • You enjoy solving hard engineering problems and are curious about what data and AI can make possible. You listen, share what you know and work with others to turn technical solutions into business value.
  • Several years in data engineering, backend development or platform engineering, building and running scalable data solutions, pipelines, data products and analytics platforms.
  • Strong SQL, Python and modern software development skills, with strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills and experience with containers and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of modern data architectures and cloud-native development, experience with AI, machine learning or advanced analytics, and an understanding of how data platforms support AI and automation.
  • The ability to turn business needs into technical solutions, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and fluent English.
  • Plus: hands-on AI work such as generative AI, LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, AI-enabled products or intelligent automation.
  • Plus: AI engineering, including MLOps, model deployment, AI platforms, vector databases, semantic search or RAG.
  • Plus: infrastructure and platform security, access management, and authentication and authorization.
  • Plus: data technologies such as dbt, AWS, Azure or GCP, and analytics, BI or AI/ML tools like Snowflake, Databricks or Trino.
  • Plus: experience in telecom or large-scale enterprise environments.

Conditions

The company is part of critical infrastructure and some of its operations are under security protection. Vetting may be required before employment, and in some cases extra eligibility rules, including specific citizenship requirements, may apply.

Applications are due by November 26. The position may close earlier if the right candidate is found, so apply promptly.

Selected candidates will be contacted by the Talent Acquisition Partner.
