Technical Lead

The company is hiring a Technical Lead for its Technology team.

The role sets engineering direction for the Digital Services & Channels platform, which covers several engineering teams.

The company has 15,000 employees across the Nordics and Baltics and works on large-scale projects in technology and connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical course for the Digital Services & Channels platform across all engineering teams, helping them simplify complex systems and making AI a routine part of software development.
• Make key technical decisions and guide teams toward pragmatic trade-offs.
• Define and embed engineering standards for code quality, testing, security, observability and developer experience.
• Lead AI adoption in development by introducing AI-assisted coding, testing and code review, measuring results and expanding what works.
• Explore how LLMs and AI agents could strengthen products and customer journeys.
• Modernise existing systems in small steps, cutting technical debt without large rewrites.
• Partner with Product and Engineering Managers to weigh technical sustainability against business goals, and push back on priorities when necessary.
• Run design reviews and mentor engineers across teams.

Requirements

• You are an experienced engineer who likes shaping technical direction and raising standards across teams.
• You have a strong background in designing and building backend systems.
• You know distributed systems and cloud-native architecture well.
• You have designed or evolved complex, large-scale systems.
• You have hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code, and a clear view of how AI changes the way teams work.
• You can explain complex topics simply and influence engineers and business stakeholders alike.
• You favour simple, maintainable solutions over complexity.
• Above all, you show strong engineering judgement, curiosity and the confidence to challenge complexity.

Conditions

The monthly gross salary range for this role is EUR 5,400 to 6,900 plus annual performance bonuses, and the figure may vary with your skills and experience.
