Senior Data Engineer with German / M

Description

The team is hiring a senior data engineer to build data pipelines on Databricks with PySpark and SQL. You will work independently and talk directly with client stakeholders, so German is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines in Databricks.
• Create and maintain reusable data products.
• Set up data governance and cataloguing with Unity Catalog.
• Integrate and transform data from SAP systems.
• Write PySpark and SQL solutions.
• Help with source-to-target mapping, data modelling and data-quality checks.
• Turn requirements from business, data and platform stakeholders into technical designs and implementations.
• Contribute to Git-based development, testing, deployment and CI/CD.
• Document what you build and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements

• Substantial commercial experience with Databricks.
• Advanced PySpark and SQL skills.
• Experience designing and running production-grade data pipelines.
• Experience building governed data products.
• Working knowledge of Unity Catalog and data-governance principles.
• Experience integrating SAP or other complex enterprise source systems.
• Experience with Azure or AWS data platforms.
• Git and CI/CD experience.
• Ability to work independently in a senior role that involves client contact.
• Professional German for direct communication with client stakeholders.
• Strong professional English and Polish.
• Knowledge of SAP data models or SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with data quality, lineage and observability.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or machinery.
• Experience delivering data products in a federated or domain-oriented model.
