Full Stack Java Developer

The team is Agile and builds and maintains modern web applications. The role spans cross-functional collaboration, new features, improvements to existing solutions, and delivering quality software through testing, code reviews and development standards.

Responsibilities

• Take part in the full development lifecycle of web applications.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and suggest solutions.
• Build and maintain applications with Java, Spring Boot, Angular and JavaScript.
• Design, implement and tune SQL procedures and database access.
• Connect applications to enterprise systems using established best practices.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Review code and help raise code quality.
• Investigate and fix complex technical problems.
• Help deploy applications across different environments.
• Advance development standards, security practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Informatics or a related field.
• 3+ years of Java development, including microservices.
• Hands-on professional work with Java 21 and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Angular and JavaScript development.
• Experience with SQL development in T-SQL (Sybase) or similar transactional databases.
• Experience working in Agile software teams.
• Experience delivering cloud-based solutions with continuous delivery practices.
• Experience with JUnit 5 and Mockito.
• Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, Hibernate (or a similar ORM), Gradle and Maven.
• Understanding of software design patterns and development best practices.
• Valued extras: Docker and Kubernetes; AWS ECS; enterprise application integration; application architecture and performance optimization work.
