AI Network Cloud Lead Engineer

Description

The company is hiring an AI Network Cloud Lead Engineer for IT Development, within the Tech Network Common Infrastructure group, and the hiring line manager is looking for someone who can grow with the team.

The team is moving from traditional automation toward Intelligent Platform Engineering. It builds and runs cloud-native automation for tenant onboarding, application lifecycle management, artifact acquisition, CI/CD pipelines, observability reporting and operational workflows in a large Telco Cloud environment.

You will be the technical lead for bringing Generative AI, AI agents and intelligent automation into the cloud platform. You will work with automation engineers, platform engineers and product or business owners to find practical use cases, build proofs of concept, take them to production, set architectural patterns, and turn the automation platform into an AI-enabled service.

The role combines business judgement, architecture, innovation and software engineering. The goal is AI-assisted operational platforms that make engineers more productive, make tenant interactions simpler and improve operational efficiency.

Within one year you should have set an AI strategy and roadmap for the team, introduced AI engineering best practice across the NCI organisation, and delivered two AI capabilities running in production.

The company has 15 000 colleagues across the Nordics and Baltics.

Responsibilities

• Define the target architecture for AI-enabled platform services.
• Set standards, patterns and governance for AI solutions.
• Keep track of new AI technologies and frameworks and judge how mature they are for adoption.
• Help rank business cases for NCI.
• Design AI agents that support operational workflows.
• Build AI-powered solutions on both cloud and on-premises LLM platforms.
• Bring AI capabilities into CI/CD and platform automation services.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of at least one software programming language, such as Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience delivering Generative AI solutions.
• Solid understanding of LLM architectures and what they can do.
• Experience with prompt engineering and designing AI applications.
• Experience building and integrating RAG solutions.
• Experience with AI agent frameworks such as langchain, and orchestration tools such as n8n or airflow.
• Understanding of AI limitations, evaluation and governance.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Optional: some knowledge of cloud operations is a plus.
• Optional: Swedish language skills are an advantage.
