Senior Software Engineer, Data Pipeline

Description

The company builds an AI agent platform that helps businesses personalize each customer's journey, from search and shopping guidance to marketing workflows, all run on one shared AI engine called Loomi.

The platform serves more than 1,400 global brands across retail, financial services, hospitality and gaming.

This is a full-time Senior Software Engineer role on the Data Pipeline team.

The team works remote-first from Central and Eastern Europe, with offices available in Bratislava, Brno and Prague.

Responsibilities

• Build a data pipeline that handles large volumes of data reliably and at high speed, using Python, Go, MongoDB, Google Cloud Platform and other tools.
• Help process tens of thousands of real-time visitor tracking requests per second, and improve worker efficiency, monitoring and autoscaling.
• Improve the throughput and reliability of imports that run into millions of rows, and help build integrations with other data stores.
• Help export data from the platform to Google BigQuery using Dataflow, PySpark and Apache Beam so clients can access it.
• Help run and support production services under high traffic on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
• Review teammates' code and have your own code reviewed, since the four-eyes principle is mandatory.
• Start with smaller, self-contained projects, then take on larger, complex ones that have a lasting impact.
• Later, join the on-call rotation to keep services running.

Requirements

• Experience with Python and a solid grasp of engineering practices.
• Experience building ETL pipelines at scale, including connecting to SQL and non-SQL sources, cleaning and transforming data, and loading it into storage optimized for a specific use case.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, a large existing codebase and changing team processes.
• Experience with Go would be a big advantage for you.

Conditions

Full-time, remote-first role with the option to work from offices in Bratislava, Brno or Prague.

Base salary range of €39,700 to €49,500 EUR. The actual offer depends on factors such as skills, qualifications, location, experience and internal equity, and may fall outside this range.

Restricted Stock Units or Stock Options are granted based on role, seniority and location.

Everyone takes part in the company performance bonus.
