The company provides market infrastructure, giving clients access to global financial and commodities markets along with liquidity and market data.

Founded in London in 1866, it has more than 60 offices across 28 countries and 5,300 people.

This senior role sits in the Communications Surveillance Technology team, which delivers regulatory and strategic change across the company's communication record keeping and surveillance systems.

It is a hands-on role. You will own your deliverables and advise other Business Analysts on best practice. At times you will coordinate delivery across product, engineering and business teams, working closely with Compliance, Legal, Technology, Operations and vendors on requirements, complex data and control issues, and key initiatives in Communications Surveillance and related regulatory programmes.

Job band: Manager, level 6.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis on Communications Surveillance initiatives, from requirements and delivery through operational support to decommissioning legacy platforms.
  • Drive strategic projects, including Voice Surveillance Enhancements and Legacy Data Migration.
  • Work with Compliance, Legal, Operations, other Technology teams and vendors to define and deliver regulatory solutions.
  • Elicit requirements, map processes, write requirements and user stories, and coordinate delivery so business outcomes are met.
  • Investigate data integrity, archiving and surveillance control issues, run root cause analysis and drive timely fixes.
  • Support and improve surveillance platforms, acting as the main contact for users, stakeholders and technology teams.
  • Coordinate testing so solutions meet business, regulatory and operational needs.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder communication across several concurrent initiatives.
  • Help build the product roadmap and run quarterly planning for the Communications Surveillance estate.
  • Continuously improve surveillance capabilities, controls, governance and regulatory compliance processes.

Requirements

  • Essential: Solid business analysis experience delivering technology change in a regulated financial services or RegTech setting.
  • Essential: Good technical understanding of cloud-based environments.
  • Essential: Strong domain knowledge in at least one of Communications Surveillance, Enterprise Archiving, Unified Communications, Trade Surveillance or related compliance technology.
  • Essential: Strong skills in requirements elicitation, process mapping and stakeholder management across business and technology teams.
  • Essential: Sharp analytical and problem-solving ability, including root cause investigation of complex data integrity and control issues and data verification and reconciliation.
  • Essential: Solid grasp of regulatory obligations on communications recording, surveillance, data retention and market abuse monitoring.
  • Essential: Proven ability to deliver several concurrent initiatives in a complex regulatory environment.
  • Essential: Clear written and spoken communication, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge them constructively.
  • Essential: Experience working with third-party vendors and cross-functional technology teams on enterprise solutions.
  • Essential: Ability to work independently, set priorities and own outcomes with little supervision.
  • Essential: Deep understanding of the surveillance technology lifecycle, from requirements and design through testing, implementation and operational support.
  • Essential: Experience supporting product delivery and requirements management in Agile and Waterfall environments, using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Desired: Experience supporting large-scale change, system implementation, data migration or transformation in financial services.
  • Desired: Technical awareness of cloud services, APIs, identity management and enterprise data storage.
  • Desired: Exposure to artificial intelligence, voice transcription or Mobile Messaging Capture solutions.
  • Desired: Experience with product roadmaps, quarterly planning and operational technology platforms.
