SASE Presales System Engineer

This is a hybrid role that requires working from an office about 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Run technical discovery, solution design and architecture workshops across the company's cybersecurity portfolio.
• Build and deliver demonstrations and proofs of concept that show value, especially for SASE (SD-WAN, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS) and SSE use cases.
• Guide customers through integrations for observability and threat detection, such as SIEM, SOAR, XDR and OpenTelemetry.
• Hold technical and strategic discussions with CISOs, security architects and compliance stakeholders.
• Write high-quality technical documentation for RFPs, RFIs and security assessments.
• Work with Product and Engineering to feed customer-driven roadmap input back to them.
• Present clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
• Work across teams and support colleagues to help deals close successfully.
• Occasionally adjust to customer schedules, which may include evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of technical pre-sales or solution engineering experience in cybersecurity, networking or cloud.
• Hands-on experience with SASE/SSE architecture and Zero Trust models.
• Working knowledge of firewalls, IPSEC, SSL-VPN, NAT, GRE and IPS/IDS.
• Solid understanding of identity and access control standards: SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC and RBAC.
• Proficiency in core networking and security protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, OSPF and BGP.
• Experience using the CLI on major routing and switching platforms and WAN edge technology.
• Practical knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP and virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with installing, configuring and troubleshooting hypervisors and operating systems.
• Ability to explain complex technical topics simply to varied audiences.
• Positive, self-driven, and focused on exceeding customer expectations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LucidChart, Visio, and Windows, macOS or Linux.
• Experience with Cloud-Native Access Control (cloudNAC) solutions and how they fit into modern security frameworks.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP or GIAC are preferred, as are vendor-specific equivalents.
• Fluency in English and French is required.
