Description

The role centers on customer engagement: understanding client needs, offering flexible solutions, and building ties with senior executives.

You will shape solutions within the customer's IT strategy, anticipate dependencies, run tests, and help steer planning and the transition, cost estimates and pricing models.

Responsibilities

  • Talk with customer IT and business teams to grasp their needs, judge whether a solution fits, spot service openings, and keep work aligned with win themes.
  • Offer adaptable solutions that meet client requirements, and weigh alternatives that add more value.
  • Develop relationships with senior executives, handle issues raised at CXO level, use consultative selling to find and pursue new opportunities, and help with contract negotiations.
  • Refine solutions to fit the customer's wider IT strategy, looking at growth path, scalability and business impact.
  • Foresee and tune dependencies between towers, fit with client processes, and risk reduction.
  • Run performance tests and tuning so the solution meets speed and scale targets.
  • Take an active part in account and opportunity planning, advise on solutions, lead proposals and presentations during pursuits, and work with colleagues across the organization.
  • Lead solution work and sway peers, drive service integration within your tower, and guide financial analysts and writers as they consolidate models and assumptions.
  • Build complete transition plans and take part in solution and peer reviews at higher governance levels.
  • Help estimate costs for proposed solutions and assist in building customer pricing models.

Requirements

  • A four-year or graduate degree in technical studies, computer science, engineering, business, IT or a related field, or equivalent work experience or proven competence.
  • Typically 7-10 years of work experience, ideally in technical or consultative selling, project or program management, delivery, account management or a related area.
  • Preferred certifications: TOGAF, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Certified Technology Sales Professional (CTSP).
  • Knowledge and skills in Amazon Web Services, APIs, cloud computing and cloud services, computer science, customer success management, demonstration skills, enterprise application software, ETL, IT infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, new product development, presales, product management, RFPs, the sales process, sales prospecting, SAS software, SaaS, and virtualization.
  • Cross-organization skills: clear communication, a results focus, learning agility, digital fluency and customer centricity.
  • You will influence functional project teams, lead or advise on them, and may join cross-functional initiatives.
  • You will work on complex problems that need in-depth evaluation of many factors.
