Description

You will help keep the company's commercial reference data clean, governed and ready for AI use, so teams worldwide can rely on the data behind their decisions.

The Reference Data Management (RDM) team looks after more than 200 commercial codelists covering 50 countries. These cover markets, products, customers and organisational hierarchies, and feed over 50 downstream systems and AI applications on Snowflake.

The company is an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma business. Its work on the immune system supports medicines and vaccines.

The role sits in the Budapest Hub and combines AI, automation and experimentation in the company's digital function.

Responsibilities

  • Build a solid understanding of commercial reference data domains, codelists, definitions, structures, relationships, and the data flows and processes around them.
  • Maintain commercial codelists in Informatica MDM, covering values, definitions, mappings and hierarchies.
  • Use SQL to query and profile reference data, answer business questions, run quality checks, and catch duplicates or inconsistencies early.
  • Translate requests from Data Owners, Data Stewards and other stakeholders into clear data and codelist requirements, and assess how changes affect downstream systems and Snowflake data shares.
  • Review RDM-to-Snowflake data flows, including views, data shares and synchronisation or refresh processes, and raise potential impacts with the relevant technical teams before they occur.
  • Manage changes from first request to go-live: plan user acceptance testing (UAT), check results, and confirm outcomes after deployment.
  • Secure and document approvals, and keep codelist records on ownership, mappings and change history audit-ready and compliant with data privacy, GxP, SOX and cybersecurity standards.
  • Support Power BI reports by managing refreshes and synchronisation, providing first-line troubleshooting for reporting and access issues, and handling access requests for codelists and reports.
  • Track your work in Jira, escalate risks and blockers early, and help improve how the team works.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, ideally with reference data, master data or data governance.
  • Strong SQL and data profiling skills, with a good grasp of data flows, data quality, integration, ETL and MDM concepts.
  • Working familiarity with Snowflake and basic Power BI.
  • Curious and detail-oriented, with a knack for finding root causes.
  • Able to assess the impact, dependencies and risks of data changes, work independently, and give clear recommendations.
  • Clear communicator who takes ownership from request to delivery and works well with global stakeholders in an Agile setup.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent English.
  • Nice to have: healthcare or pharma experience.
  • Nice to have: experience with RDM or MDM platforms, and a strong plus if you know Informatica MDM.

Conditions

Hybrid working, based in Budapest.

Salary range is Ft13 120 000,00 to Ft19 680 000,00.

Final pay depends on demonstrated experience, skills, location and other relevant factors.

Candidates are assessed on equal terms, and no one is excluded because of their citizenship, age, ability, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, sex, religion, race, colour, ancestry or national origin.

Benefits

  • Access to training programmes and industry certifications, plus good progression opportunities.
  • Daily chances to collaborate and share knowledge in an open, respectful environment.
  • You may be eligible to join the company's employee benefit programmes.
