Accounts Payable Senior Vendor Master Data Analyst

The role sits in the Global Business Services group, in the Accounts Payable team in Budapest, and reports to the Accounts Payable Team Lead for Vendor Master Data within P2P. It is an office-based role on a standard Monday to Friday schedule.

The position is responsible for the accuracy of vendor master data. You will create and maintain vendor accounts in the ERP systems and keep supplier information accurate, compliant and controlled, including audit reporting and internal control requirements.

The role involves regular contact with corporate staff and vendors. You will support the Team Lead with reporting and training. The company is a large science services provider with about 65,000 employees and revenue of $20 billion, listed on the NYSE.

Responsibilities

• Handle vendor master data requests accurately and on time, following policies, procedures and SLAs.
• Work with internal business partners to make sure requests are complete and meet data standards.
• Use analytical tools to find, research and fix or update discrepancies, duplicate records and outdated records. Help identify duplicates and cleanse master data during integration work.
• Help write forms, procedures and work instructions. Spot opportunities to improve data quality and processes.
• Build good working relationships with internal customers and other teams, and share results and successes with them.
• Keep service quality high for both internal and external customers.
• Mentor and train new team members.
• Take on other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• A university or college degree.
• Strong prior experience in a shared services or global business services accounts payable function, preferred, with 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle or Navision is a plus.
• Experience working in high-volume, multi-entity, multi-currency processing.
• Solid understanding of audit, SOX requirements and VAT rules, and a good grasp of EMEA VAT requirements.
• Excel skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and process large volumes of information efficiently.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Some experience supporting and guiding teams.
• Fluent English. An additional language is to be determined.
