Description

The company is a manufacturing partner for well-known brands, handling design, build and delivery of new products.

This is the Analyst, IT Operations role. It is based in a location and reports to a manager that the posting leaves blank.

You will carry out operational processes that keep IT services, systems and infrastructure aligned with business needs.

Your work covers daily operation and service delivery of the Hybrid Cloud IT infrastructure. You will log and acknowledge infrastructure incidents in the incident tracking system, watch systems for availability, capacity and performance before problems occur, take part in patch management and in IT business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing, and write code to automate manual IT operations tasks where it makes sense.

Responsibilities

  • Write standard operating procedures for day-to-day upkeep of applications and the systems beneath them.
  • Monitor enterprise systems to confirm they are sized for changing business demand.
  • Set up backup and retention policies that keep data loss to a minimum when failures occur.
  • Build clear communication channels and feedback loops with customers, peers and cross-functional teams.
  • Propose software and hardware updates that improve system performance and reliability.
  • Set and maintain budgets, schedules, work plans and performance targets.
  • Keep business applications performing, scalable, usable and available by defining support and monitoring processes, setting and driving SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and running system tests.
  • Research, design, code and test new systems and enhancements that support IT project deliverables.
  • Install, configure, administer and maintain business applications and related hardware to technical specifications so they run reliably.
  • Work with several teams to gather their requirements, write detailed program specifications and coordinate system implementation.
  • Talk with system users and vendors, investigate and fix system problems quickly, and make sure users are satisfied with the result.
  • Track change management and publish performance metrics for these teams.
  • Protect the integrity and security of enterprise data across Hybrid Cloud environments, following business needs, industry best practice, and privacy, security and regulatory rules.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training is typically required.
  • Ideally 6-7 years of related experience.
  • Clear, well-organised project management that sets expectations openly.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and other teams, and to lead small groups.
  • Strong collaboration skills and enthusiasm for technical challenges and operations support.
  • Different IT Analyst roles may need different application knowledge, skills or tools. You should learn quickly, solve problems with strong tools and methods, and drive results as part of a team.

Conditions

Relocation support is available for domestic moves only.

Visa sponsorship is available.

Applications stay open for at least 5 days from the posting start date and until the end date or until the role is filled, and may close sooner if volume is high.

  • Full range of medical, dental and vision plans.
  • Life insurance.
