IT Project Manager - fixed term contract

Description

This is a fixed term IT Project Manager role in the EMEA region, reporting to the IT Project Manager, in the IT job category (reference AD06).

The role plans, organises and directs specific projects from start to finish, owning deadlines, resources, budget and whether the project reaches its goals.

You will work across business and technical functions and need to understand the solution, processes and architecture behind a complex implementation, and to manage both senior stakeholders and your own team.

The company is a diversified manufacturer that designs, builds and delivers products for market-leading brands, serving the Automotive, LifeStyle, Healthcare, Industrial and Communications sectors.

Responsibilities

• Take IT projects from initiation and planning through implementation, go-live and closure.
• Set the project scope, objectives, milestones, resources, schedules and deliverables.
• Coordinate business and IT teams and manage dependencies between them.
• Track progress, budget, timelines, quality and resource use.
• Spot risks, issues and changes, and prepare mitigation and contingency plans.
• Make timely decisions, resolve issues and escalate when needed.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and give management clear status updates.
• Lead governance meetings, workshops and presentations, including presenting technical information.
• Coordinate testing, business readiness, cutover, go-live and handover.
• Manage vendors and external partners where relevant.
• Keep project records up to date in Jira, Confluence and wiki pages, covering plans, change requests, decisions and status reports.
• Support financial management, including forecasting and cost tracking.

Requirements

• Experience with scheduling and budgeting.
• Experience leading initiatives, with a proactive approach and willingness to shape them.
• Keep a positive attitude when circumstances are difficult.
• Meet deadlines and perform under pressure.

• Keep learning and developing your skills.
• Work across different time zones, with occasional travel required.
• Jira knowledge is an advantage.
• PMP certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Prince2 certification or an equivalent is an advantage but not mandatory.
