Associate Director, Data Analytics

Description

The company is a health technology business with a goal of making healthcare simpler to navigate, easier to access, and more affordable.

You will lead the analytics team for Wellos, a health and wellness app designed by dietitians and behavior change experts.

Members use nutrition lessons, tracking tools, and one-on-one coaching to build lasting habits.

You will manage data analysts and turn their findings into clear recommendations for senior leaders, shaping how Wellos grows and improves.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and coach a team of data analysts, supporting their professional development and the quality of their work.
• Build and carry out analytics strategies that advance the company's main business goals.
• Work with other teams to define data needs and produce insights they can act on.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation from start to finish, making sure results are accurate, relevant, and delivered on time.
• Build, maintain, and improve advanced data models, dashboards, and visualizations that report results clearly.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear, persuasive way.
• Lead ongoing improvements to the team's analysis methods, tools, and processes.
• Keep up with new trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis so the team stays current.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, or computer science, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Deep experience in data analysis, modeling, visualization, and reporting.
• Proven experience leading a team of data analysts.
• Deep experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to find strategic insights in data and turn them into recommendations you can act on.
• Compensation summary, provided under various state Fair Pay Acts: starting salary of $120,000 to $160,000. Actual salary depends on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.

Conditions

Hybrid work: the team works in the office Tuesday through Thursday, and you may work remotely on Mondays and Fridays if you choose.
