Software Engineer, Golang

This individual contributor role is on the Content Platform team, which improves and runs the internal content workflow and content distribution systems.

You will work alongside Staff and Senior engineers in a supportive setting while building your experience and career.

Responsibilities

• Take features across the content platform from requirements through to production, designing and building them yourself.
• Work with your product manager, technical project manager and other engineers to define scope, size tasks and plan sprints.
• Write clean code with solid tests, and take part in code review by giving and acting on feedback.
• Investigate and fix problems across the stack, and join the team's on-call rotation for production systems.
• Use AI tools to shorten engineering turnaround, and refine your solutions for the best results.
• Help keep the team healthy through clear communication, useful reviews and shared responsibility for quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of software development, ideally on large-scale applications.
• Skilled in several programming languages, with Golang as your main focus, such as Go, PHP, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, Java, C or C++.
• Solid grasp of software development methods and good engineering practice.
• Sharp problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear interpersonal and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience testing software.
• Experience using AI to generate code and brainstorm ideas.
• Preferred: full-stack experience across several languages and technologies, including Go, PHP, Node.js with TypeScript, GraphQL, REST APIs and NoSQL databases.
• Preferred: working knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code.
• Preferred: past experience with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Conditions

Starting salary is $97,500 to $125,000; the actual figure depends on location, qualifications and experience.

Hybrid role: the team works in the office Tuesday through Thursday, and you may work remotely on Mondays and Fridays if you choose.
