Software Engineer 2 - CorePointAI

Description

This role covers the analysis, design, testing, development and upkeep of software products, with the goal of high quality throughout.

You will work with your own team and with people across the organization, and you will take ownership of the software you produce so that it meets company standards and causes as little disruption to customers as possible.

Agile delivery and DevOps principles guide how the work is done.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support scalable software that delivers CorePointAI capabilities across the enterprise.
• Create and maintain APIs, microservices and cloud-native applications using current software engineering methods.
• Build integrations for AI-driven, data-based applications and automation projects across the enterprise.
• Design and deliver Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions covering document ingestion, embeddings, vector search and prompt engineering.
• Work with Product Management, Engineering, Data and AI teams to turn business needs into technical solutions.
• Take part in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, code reviews, testing and deployments.
• Promote DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring and operational excellence across the engineering lifecycle.
• Make sure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, performance, reliability and responsible AI governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: strong skill in Java, Python or a similar object-oriented language, with experience building enterprise applications.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices and cloud-native solutions.
• Preferred: expertise in Microsoft Azure, including building, deploying and supporting cloud applications.
• Preferred: experience designing and supporting RAG architectures, including document processing, chunking strategies, embeddings, vector search and prompt optimization.
• Preferred: knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI and enterprise AI solution patterns.
• Preferred: solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Infrastructure as Code and automated testing frameworks.
• Preferred: experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Semantic Kernel, LangChain or comparable AI frameworks and services.
• Preferred: knowledge of vector databases, enterprise search platforms, AI security, model governance, responsible AI practices and enterprise software delivery.
