Description

The ServiceNow engineer looks after the company's ServiceNow instance, with a focus on platform architecture, technical build-out, custom code and advanced configuration.

You will work alongside developers, infrastructure staff and database administrators to ship platform changes, and you will handle support issues and system upgrades with ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the ServiceNow analyst to grasp each business unit's needs, then build the matching technical solution in ServiceNow.
  • Write JavaScript, create Business Rules and client scripts, and oversee APIs and integrations.
  • Carry out the upgrades the ServiceNow platform requires.
  • Improve workflows across ServiceNow modules by linking Active Directory (AD) data to the matching ServiceNow fields.
  • Build, maintain and refine the company's ServiceNow landing page so users have a better experience.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and at least five years in a technology or technical analysis role.
  • Certification as a ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and as a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
  • Solid understanding of systems and networks.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to improve ServiceNow.
  • Strong written and spoken communication, enough to gather technical details, plan API integrations, explain integration details and give status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate third-party vendors on upgrades and on API rollouts.
  • Good planning, problem-solving, organizing and management skills.

Conditions

No certifications or licenses are required for the role.

The role carries no supervisory duties and no budget ownership.

The description reflects the general nature and level of the work, not a full list of duties, and leadership may change or add duties at any time.
