Description

You will lead a mixed group of Teamcenter developers and test automation specialists who support the enterprise PLM platform. The work covers building, integrating, testing and improving Teamcenter solutions, while setting up and growing automated quality assurance across the software lifecycle.

The role mixes people management, technical direction, delivery oversight and operations, so the platform stays reliable, scalable, secure and in line with business goals. You will work with business stakeholders, solution architects and outside vendors to ship capabilities that speed up digital engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Build and mentor a team of Teamcenter developers and test automation engineers.
  • Set team goals, performance expectations, development plans and succession plans.
  • Plan resources and workloads, and handle hiring, onboarding and vendor relationships.
  • Create a culture that values agile working, quality, teamwork, ownership, new ideas and learning.
  • Align development and testing work across internal groups, vendors and global partners.
  • Keep projects on schedule, in scope and aligned with business priorities.
  • Track risks, dependencies, technical debt and production support, and report status, KPIs and operational results.
  • Direct the design, build, configuration and enhancement of Siemens Teamcenter solutions.
  • Enforce technical standards, architecture principles, coding guidelines and security requirements.
  • Lead the integration of Teamcenter with ERP, CAD and other enterprise systems.
  • Turn business needs into scalable technical solutions with stakeholders.
  • Review solution designs and govern technical decisions across initiatives.
  • Set and carry out a complete quality and automation strategy.
  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks, test suites and regression packs.
  • Move testing earlier in the lifecycle and keep validating quality continuously.
  • Set automation standards, quality metrics, dashboards and release-readiness criteria.
  • Reduce manual testing through broader, more reliable automation.
  • Define engineering KPIs for quality, productivity, deployment reliability, automation effectiveness and platform stability.
  • Drive improvement using DevOps, automation and modern engineering practices.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, change management, validation and audit requirements.
  • Help plan the platform roadmap and modernization work.
  • Assess emerging technologies and best practices for PLM and quality engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, PLM systems or enterprise application engineering.
  • Experience working in cross-functional global teams.
  • Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and its processes, enough to support the PLM system.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizing, interviewing and research skills to define procedures and process flows.
  • Analytical problem solver who works independently, pays close attention to detail, manages time and schedules well, meets deadlines and is eager to learn.
  • Ability to lead, coach, motivate and inspire others.
