Description

The company helps organizations connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications, from the edge to the cloud.

The role covers a product or portfolio across its full life, from defining new products or upgrades through planning, design, forecasting, production and retirement.

You will have visible technical impact on a product or a major part of one, applying deep expertise and new ideas to hard problems. Your work should shorten time to market, lower costs, or meet customer needs now and later.

You will be a recognized internal authority in a key technology area, give technical direction on significant programs, join or lead cross-functional work, and help others learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and operating roadmap for one or more complex products or a whole portfolio.
  • Define the value proposition, target customers and business case for new, disruptive products, judged against the company's full portfolio, including product mix, revenue, margins, financials and market share.
  • Turn market requirements (MRD) into customer and marketing details, drawing on close customer knowledge plus business, financial and industry insight.
  • Advise key stakeholders on portfolio strategy through every lifecycle stage: planning, development, launch, management and exit.
  • Align goals with partners across the value chain, including engineering for product development, supply chain for SKUs and inventory, and marketing for pricing and go-to-market plans, to protect margins and deliver products on plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of work experience in a related field.
  • Technical grasp of the relevant industry, including the ability to train the team on product-specific technical topics.
  • Extensive ability to lead and mentor teams through complex, ambiguous projects, and to drive results through people you do not manage across functions.
  • Extensive experience building cost-efficient solutions and creating and analyzing financial performance metrics.
  • Extensive business acumen, with skill in root cause analysis and spotting problems early.
  • Preferred: an MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering.

Conditions

The role is onsite, and you will mainly work from a company office.

Job family: Engineering. Job level: TCP05.

US base salary range: USD 157,000 to 361,000 a year in Texas. Base salary only; variable incentives may also be offered.

Offers may fall outside this range based on location, experience, education, training or skill level.

The company is an equal opportunity employer that decides on qualifications, merit and business need, and follows laws on criminal records.

Benefits

  • Health, wellbeing, financial and emotional support programs for employees and their families.
  • Career development programs, including paths to become a subject expert or to move into another division.
  • Flexibility to balance work with personal needs.
  • US benefit details are published on the company's benefits site.
