Description

Utah-based hybrid role that requires some regular in-office days each week. Employment is contingent on passing both a background check and a credit check.

The company is building a people intelligence platform for HR and is integrating AI into its products and internal workflows. It is looking for people who are curious about what AI can do, willing to learn, and open to using smart tools to improve their work.

This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. The person will set the patterns that product managers building partner integrations follow, and will be the product voice in API and protocol decisions alongside senior engineers and architects.

The goal is to make the platform the easiest HR system for developers to build on. The role covers the public developer surface: APIs, SDKs, the developer portal, documentation standards, and connectors that bring the platform into AI tools and marketplaces customers already use.

The role serves three groups on one roadmap: partners, customers' own developers, and AI agents. The partnerships organization manages relationships and commercial terms, while this role decides what the company offers them to sell. Partner-sourced revenue is now a company-wide commitment.

The company is a market leader that grows steadily and sustainably. It values openness, integrity, and doing the right thing, and it offers competitive benefits, professional development, and flexibility in and out of the office.

The company provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities during hiring. Candidates who need one should tell their recruiter.

The company is an equal opportunity employer. Candidates should review the AI guidelines for candidates to learn how AI is used in recruiting, how candidates may use it, and what is prohibited.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integration-category roadmap that partnerships sells against. For each category, decide whether to build, co-build, or aggregate, and make sure every committed category is either live, dated, or formally declined.
  • Share ownership of category-level revenue assumptions with the VP of Partnerships. When partnerships commits to a figure, you are accountable for the product plan that supports it.
  • Own the public API and SDK roadmap: what is exposed, in what sequence, and to what standard, so partners can build without custom engineering help.
  • Run the developer portal as a product. This covers self-service sign-up, authentication, app management, reusable integration patterns, and documentation clear enough that users rarely need to open a support ticket.
  • Own the company's presence in AI assistant ecosystems and marketplaces. This includes the connector strategy on open protocols such as MCP, relationships with vendor submission and review teams, and how AI agents safely act on the platform.
  • Lead launches through third-party marketplace and app review, and treat outside approval timelines as firm shipping commitments.
  • Set the API-first standard for internal product teams and own the review process that new public capabilities pass through, so they ship with public-grade contracts.
  • Work with security and identity teams to define the authorization model for third parties and agents. You help decide what a partner or AI assistant can see and do.
  • Guide the product managers building partner integrations, set the co-build patterns they follow, and settle conflicts between partner demand and platform standards.
  • Measure the ecosystem as a product, tracking developer adoption, time to first integration, coverage of the categories partners request most, and the revenue they influence.

Requirements

  • You share the company's values.
  • At least 8 years of product management on developer platforms, public APIs, or partner ecosystems, including a role where partner-sourced revenue was a company-wide commitment.
  • Experience making and defending build, partner, or aggregate decisions based on economics.
  • You can hold a roadmap to a revenue plan shared with a commercial team that owns the relationships and sellers.
  • Strong technical grasp of API design and authentication. You can read a spec, challenge an endpoint design, and make sound decisions on versioning, scoping, and deprecation.
  • Willingness to work with open protocols that change every quarter and to become the company's go-to expert on them.
  • You treat developers as customers and own documentation, onboarding, and support as product surfaces.
  • You have set standards and aligned many teams without formal authority.
  • You have enough credibility with senior engineers and architects to drive API and protocol decisions yourself.
  • You communicate clearly and directly with technical and commercial audiences, including at executive reviews.
  • You spot the next constraint and move toward it without waiting to be told.
  • You use AI daily to prototype faster than before and to test your own thinking.
