Sr. Product Manager, FlashArray Foundation

The company's strategy targets the firms shaping the next wave of technology: hyperscalers, AI labs, the AI hardware supply chain, data platform providers, and the wider AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• You will set and lead the core roadmap for the operating system that runs the company's flagship enterprise storage appliance, working on the joint design of software and hardware.
• You will own controller enablement, flash media integration, high availability, and non-disruptive upgrades.
• You will work with Engineering, Hardware, and the CTO office to turn complex protocol work and new hardware into reliable, fast features that keep customers online and make systems easier to run.
• You will define the vision and product requirements for core OS services, weighing failover, non-disruptive upgrades, and data reduction so the product consistently meets enterprise SLAs.
• You will translate protocol needs (NVMe/TCP, NVMe-oF, iSCSI, FC) and next-generation hardware into product definitions that shorten time to market.
• You will review system telemetry, benchmarks, and support data to find latency and throughput bottlenecks, then turn those findings into a ranked backlog of high-impact work.
• You will work with platform PMs, Engineering, QA, and CTO architects to set evaluation criteria and execution plans for hardware and software co-design.
• You will give Solutions Engineers and enterprise customers technical positioning, competitive analysis, and architecture deep-dives that show the product's reliability and performance strengths.

Requirements

• You have taken enterprise software or storage products from requirements to launch and have a record of turning technical trade-offs into features that ship.
• You have deep knowledge of block storage protocols, including FC, iSCSI, and NVMe-oF/TCP, and of storage OS internals such as high-availability failover, upgrades, and how controllers and media interact.
• You can assess system metrics such as IOPS, latency, availability, and failure domains, and you use telemetry to guide roadmap priorities and architecture decisions.
• You communicate well and have aligned Engineering, Hardware, and field teams around shared goals without holding direct authority over them.

Conditions

This is a primarily in-office role based at the Santa Clara, CA office, following company policy, except during PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.

Base salary is set by role, level, and location. For roles open in several locations, the range reflects the labor market across those locations.

The role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is $180,000 - $270,000 USD.
