Principal Product Manager, Infrastructure

The central technology group, 2K Technology, provides physical and cloud infrastructure to studios and Publishing teams. That infrastructure has to run consistently, reliably, globally, and cost-effectively at scale, whether it is built in-house, supplied by a partner, or bought from a vendor. Central tech teams also depend on shared infrastructure to deliver their own work to the rest of the company. This role owns the strategy that makes all of this work.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategy for cloud infrastructure, physical infrastructure, and developer tools at 2K Technology, working closely with stakeholders and peer leaders.
• Make sure internal teams understand and anticipate what studio and Publishing customers need, and move the company toward a consistent, efficient, and robust technology base.
• Bring stakeholders, partners, and teams into line with the vision without direct authority, using clear communication and dependable delivery to build trust in 2K Technology's ability to serve its customers.
• Speak up for customers, your own teams, and the wider central technology organization.
• Build constructive partnerships with leaders across the Infrastructure organization, including SRE and Technical Operations, and act on shared chances to extend capabilities, strengthen operational discipline, and advance the central tech strategy.
• Partner with engineering and program management to plan, test assumptions, and deliver high-quality results for customers, and help set a shared standard for product and technical quality.
• Capture, define, and validate requirements; build roadmaps; analyse competitors; interview customers; plan strategy; and develop and report KPIs.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of product or project management experience delivering technical software products.
• Experience as a product, project, or engineering leader in physical and cloud infrastructure. You have clear views on building scalable, fault-tolerant, and observable production systems for a global organization, and on turning development and delivery best practices into products.
• Track record of getting others behind a vision and speeding up good ideas from across the team.
• Strong written and spoken communication with close attention to detail. You have presented to senior management and key stakeholders to get decisions and buy-in. You earn trust, can say no and explain why, and keep good working relationships when you disagree.
• Enjoy building products, teams, and culture. You are comfortable in loosely defined work, you can create the structure needed to succeed, and you stay calm and effective under pressure while handling fast change. You live the company's values and help others grow.
• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in a related field.
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Passion for gaming.

Hybrid role based in Novato, California.
