OFCI Project Manager - Data Centres

Description

The company is a professional services firm working with the Data Centre sector worldwide. Its Data Centre business in Italy is growing, and it is hiring an experienced OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) Project Manager for its Data Centre team in Milan.

In this role you will supervise vendor interfaces, schedules, quality and on-site installation against project requirements.

The team serves a strong client base and offers chances to lead strategic commissions and high-profile projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage OFCI vendors so that delivery and installation happen on time and meet specifications.
• Review vendor technical submissions and help handle change and risk management.
• Organise complex work interfaces and manage activities and stakeholders across Scope, Time, Cost and Quality.
• Align vendor equipment schedules with the overall project programme.
• Carry out detailed contract and scope of work reviews, including gap analysis, so that all contracted scope is covered between vendors and site contractor teams.
• Work closely with stakeholders in several client departments and with contractors.
• Give regular progress updates to stakeholders, communicating openly and building trust across the project lifecycle.
• Manage OFE schedules, tracking milestones and timelines to keep project execution on course.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data centre commissioning, operations or facility management.
• Hands-on experience with equipment typical of data centre construction, such as generators, MV/LV switchgear, UPS, BAS, EPMS and AHUs.
• QA/QC experience in manufacturing and vendor management.
• Proficiency in MS Office. Experience with document management applications is a plus.
• Strong communication, organisation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Italian speaker with good written and spoken English.
• Available for on-site work.
