Description

The company is the world's largest ticket marketplace and the global leader in live event ticketing. Through official partnerships with thousands of venues, artists, sports teams, festivals, performing arts centers and theaters, it processes 550 million tickets a year across 35+ countries.

This role leads the build-out of a scalable experimentation practice that guides product decisions and improves the fan experience. It mixes strategy with hands-on work and brings experimentation into every stage of product development, working with Product, Design, Engineering, Research and Analytics.

The team is a skilled, collaborative group that improves the product and grows revenue through rigorous analysis, experimentation and new ways of using data. It works with Product, Design, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Strategy and Finance on fan insights, ticket sales, shopping behavior, site and app analytics, new revenue streams, venue and client analysis, and customer lifetime value.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and grow the product experimentation program, including processes, governance, measurement standards and team onboarding.
  • Act as the hands-on expert on Optimizely, handling experiment setup, audience targeting, QA, instrumentation checks and live test monitoring.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to find testing opportunities and design sound A/B, multivariate and other experiments.
  • Interpret experiment results, explain what they show and where they fall short, and turn findings into recommendations for product strategy and roadmap.
  • Define and track key digital metrics tied to fan and business goals, working with stakeholders.
  • Mine data for trends, patterns and chances to improve the end-to-end fan experience.
  • Build analytics tools, methods and self-service resources so teams can make better data-informed decisions.
  • Turn business questions into analytical and experimentation solutions.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with counterparts across the North America Insights and Analytics organization.
  • With the Research team, combine behavioral, experimental and qualitative insights into a fuller picture of fan needs.

Requirements

  • A record of leading and running a product experimentation program end to end, from hypothesis and test design through implementation, analysis and recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience with Optimizely or a comparable platform, including configuring, QA-ing, launching and monitoring experiments.
  • Advanced statistics: hypothesis testing, power analysis and sample-size planning, confidence intervals, sequential testing, multiple-comparison correction and variance reduction.
  • Proven ability to spot and handle common pitfalls such as sample ratio mismatch, peeking, novelty effects and interaction between concurrent tests.
  • Ability to design and run complex product experiments, including A/B and multivariate tests.
  • Advanced use of AI tools and LLMs to speed up analytics work, such as writing and debugging queries, automating recurring analysis and reporting, generating test hypotheses and summarizing results. You must judge AI output carefully for accuracy.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Contentsquare.
  • Advanced SQL, with hands-on experience in Databricks and Google BigQuery.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, turning complex analytical and experimental findings into clear stories for non-technical audiences.
  • Builds trust and rapport with stakeholders and diverse team members, and coaches others to grow their confidence in experimentation.
  • Curious and intellectually honest, willing to let data challenge assumptions, including your own, and open to diverse perspectives.
  • Focuses on the highest-impact work, manages time to meet deadlines and commitments, adapts to changing priorities and stays resilient through setbacks.
