Lead Cloud Solution Architect

Description

The company is a Fortune 10 business that works across nearly every part of healthcare, known for insights, products and services that help more people get quality care at a lower cost.

This lead architect role covers the whole enterprise. You will set the cloud direction, define the standards and steer complex builds that support long-term business goals, working with business and technology leaders to adopt cloud securely, at scale and in line with regulation.

Responsibilities

• Advise business units and technology leaders on cloud adoption, lining strategies up with enterprise priorities.
• Set and enforce enterprise cloud solution patterns, reference architectures and design standards for Azure and hybrid setups.
• Develop and update cloud security guardrails, governance models and architecture standards, shaping decisions across the enterprise.
• Act as the senior technical adviser as business units onboard to the cloud and take on large migrations.
• Review architectures and optimize complex, high-impact cloud solutions.
• Work with enterprise architecture, cloud platform, operations and governance teams so that solutions fit together.
• Coach senior architects and engineers and run enablement to raise cloud architecture skills across the company.
• Share views on emerging cloud technologies and influence how the enterprise adopts them.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in cloud solution architecture inside large, regulated enterprises.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Solid experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices and infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• A track record of shaping architecture decisions and aligning many teams and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to explain complex technical ideas to business leaders.
• A degree or equivalent, usually with 10+ years of relevant experience; fewer years are needed with a relevant Master's or Doctorate.
• Nice to have: experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.
• Nice to have: cloud architecture certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are highly desirable.
• Preferable: experience defining enterprise cloud standards and reference architectures.
• Preferable: experience leading large-scale cloud migration or modernization programs.
• Preferable: a background in healthcare or other highly regulated industries.

Conditions

Flex and Connect work model with 2 days a week in the office.

Base pay range of $122,100 - $162,800.

Pay depends on performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market reviews and geographic market, and always complies with applicable regulations.
