Description

The company uses technology to make the world safer, more sustainable and more inclusive, and its people do that work.

It operates across manufacturing, engineering, cybersecurity and space, serving industries such as finance, health, retail, aerospace, critical infrastructure, defence and space.

Its cybersecurity products and services protect people and assets, and are used in 148 countries by governments and organisations. It ranks first in data security and has 6,000+ experts and developers.

The role supports the Data Security and Application Security portfolio. You will help organisations protect their most critical data, applications and digital services, working alongside the sales team and customers to find business problems, design security solutions and support digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales teams to pin down what customers need and design security solutions for complex business and technical problems.
  • Act as a technical adviser customers can rely on, guiding them on security best practice, compliance obligations and digital transformation projects.
  • Write technical proposals, solution architectures and responses to customer tenders and RFPs.
  • Run technical workshops, product demonstrations, training and proof-of-concept work for customers and partners.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Product Management to grow the business and help customers succeed.
  • Support product deployments, integrations and certification work, and pass customer feedback on to shape future product improvements.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience in cybersecurity is ideal, especially in pre-sales, consulting, solutions architecture or customer-facing technical roles.
  • A proven record designing and delivering complex cybersecurity solutions for enterprise and government customers.
  • Strong working knowledge of application and data security technologies such as encryption, tokenisation, PKI, database activity monitoring and data protection.
  • Experience presenting to senior technical and business leaders, explaining the value and business outcomes of a solution clearly.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps environments and secrets management is highly regarded.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to build trust with customers, partners and internal colleagues.
  • A customer-first approach, pairing technical depth with a real drive to help organisations get strong security outcomes.
  • The ability to juggle competing priorities, work independently and keep delivering high-quality results in a quick-moving environment.
  • An NV2 security clearance is essential for this role.

Conditions

The role is based in Canberra, on Ngunnawal land, with a hybrid work setup.

A Defence security clearance is required. You must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance. In some cases, a current clearance from a foreign government may be recognised by the Australian Government, making you eligible for this role.

Further clearance information is available from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.

The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act applies, so your nationality may affect your suitability for this role.

Before any offer, you must complete pre-employment police checks and, depending on the role, medical checks.

The company is committed to equal opportunity and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
