Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect

You will be a senior individual contributor who designs and oversees enterprise-level technology solutions that connect business strategy with applications, data, infrastructure, cloud and emerging tech. You will set architecture direction across complex programs so that solutions stay scalable, secure, compliant and aligned with organizational goals.

The ideal person has a solid background in financial services, deep AWS and Microsoft Azure skills, and hands-on use of AI to create business value. You will work with business and technology leaders on digital transformation, regulatory compliance, operational resilience and long-term growth.

A strong candidate combines financial services depth, advanced AWS and Azure architecture skills and current AI knowledge to deliver secure, scalable solutions. They have sound business sense, can influence senior stakeholders and help shape the technology direction of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions across applications, data, infrastructure, cloud and AI for the whole enterprise.
• Build and maintain architecture strategies, roadmaps, standards and governance documents for your assigned portfolios.
• Produce technical designs and recommendations that match enterprise standards and business goals.
• Lead the design of hybrid and cloud-native solutions on AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Assess emerging technologies, AI capabilities and industry trends to find modernization opportunities.
• Run proofs of concept and technology assessments to test whether solutions are viable and valuable.
• Make sure designs meet security, regulatory, risk and compliance requirements in financial services.
• Spot architectural risks, dependencies and integration issues, and plan how to mitigate them.
• Guide projects from the business case through implementation.
• Work with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams and senior leaders to keep solutions aligned with strategy.
• Lead architecture reviews and take part in governance to keep designs consistent across initiatives.
• Support enterprise transformation programs and complex cross-functional projects that span several technology domains.
• Advise senior leaders as a trusted expert on technology strategy, cloud adoption, AI and architecture practice.
• Apply sound risk principles and ensure adherence to policies, standards, regulations and security controls.

Requirements

• 10+ years in enterprise, solution or technology architecture.
• Mandatory experience in banking, financial services, wealth management, insurance or capital markets.
• A track record designing and delivering large-scale enterprise solutions.
• Experience leading architecture work in complex, heavily regulated settings.
• Proven success supporting cloud transformation and modernization.
• Experience bringing AI, machine learning or generative AI into enterprise solutions.
• Strong AWS and Microsoft Azure architecture skills.
• Solid grasp of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
• Expertise in enterprise application architecture, systems integration, APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, intelligent automation and modern data platforms.
• Advanced understanding of security architecture, identity management, encryption and regulatory controls.
• Ability to design solutions that are resilient, scalable and always available.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, governance models and technology strategy.
• Sharp critical thinking and complex problem solving.
• Strong relationship building and stakeholder management.
• Ability to influence executive and senior leaders with technical and strategic insight.
• Deep understanding of financial services operations, risk and regulation.
• Strong communication, presentation and consulting skills.
• Comfort working through ambiguity to create new solutions to hard business problems.
• Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Professional and/or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Preferred: experience with enterprise AI strategy, Generative AI, Responsible AI and AI governance frameworks.
• Preferred: knowledge of modern data architecture, analytics and cloud-native development.
• Preferred: experience supporting large-scale digital transformation at financial institutions.

Conditions

Salaried position with a pay range of $85,500.00 to $185,000.00.

This is the company's pay range and pay type.

Actual pay depends on location, skills, experience, education and qualifications, and may include a commission structure.

Part-time pay is prorated to the hours regularly worked.

For commission roles, the range shown is the expected first-year target.
