Description

The company is a global technology business with more than six decades of history and over 290 locations worldwide. Its work covers home appliances, media and entertainment, vehicles and eco solutions.

You would join the procurement team in a role that shapes sourcing strategy. The work sits within the general procurement process, where you handle key tasks to improve efficiency, accuracy and value across all purchasing.

You will analyze procurement data, keep the service parts supply steady and propose new ways to change how work gets done. You will work closely with vendors and prospective suppliers in several countries, follow market trends and global issues that affect operations, and support forecasting and cost analysis. Cross-functional teamwork will be central to aligning delivery, pricing and quality with company goals.

The ideal person is proactive and detail-oriented, organizes work well, communicates clearly and cares about innovation and ongoing improvement in procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Research vendors and markets to inform sourcing and procurement strategy.
  • Monitor cost-saving efforts and process-improvement targets.
  • Learn what internal stakeholders need and propose procurement solutions.
  • Align expectations across internal teams.
  • Assess global economic, geopolitical and supply chain conditions to identify current and future risks and reduce them.
  • Produce weekly, monthly and annual reports on metrics and projects, covering process innovation, cost savings, and the status of procurement requests and issues.
  • Provide accurate analysis of commodity markets, technology and trends to accounting, quality and engineering, customer service, field support, technical support and other groups when requested.
  • Work with the legal team on vendor contracts that limit risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. A data, analytics or related field is strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or project management preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience with data tools such as Python, SQL or comparable analytics platforms, including automating reports, analyzing large datasets and building data-based proposals.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience with, or strong interest in using, generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to speed up workflow automation.
  • Foundational understanding of statistical and machine learning concepts applied to business problems such as demand forecasting or cost analysis. Broad exposure is valued over deep specialization.
  • Working familiarity with Tableau for building dashboards and communicating insights.
  • Full fluency in Korean is required, along with bilingual Korean-English proficiency, verbal and written.
