Description

The company built its early business on personalizing every credit card offer with statistical modeling and relational databases, and has since grown into a large financial firm that relies heavily on data for decisions.

  • Run analysis that yields meaningful insights on business strategy.
  • Promote understanding and compliance with data quality principles, including metadata, lineage, and business definitions.
  • Work with the relevant technology teams to manage security controls and data access governance.
  • Build and run tools that monitor data quality and report on it.

Requirements

  • A degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline.
  • Scripting experience in Python, R, Spark, and SQL.
  • Strong interest in and experience with data in many forms, such as data warehouses, SQL, and unstructured data.

  • Either a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, economics, operations research, analytics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field) plus at least 2 years of data analytics experience, or a master's degree with the required degree completed by the scheduled start date. You may currently hold the degree or be working toward it.
  • At least 1 year of scripting in at least one language.
  • At least 1 year using a business intelligence visualization tool.
  • At least 1 year querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms.
  • Optional: a master's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline.
  • Optional: at least 2 years coding in Python, R, Spark, or SQL.
  • Optional: at least 2 years working with process management and improvement methods such as Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma.
  • Optional: at least 1 year using and developing on AWS.
