Description

Growth Product Manager based in North America.

The role owns how new users discover the company's AI creative platform, reach their first strong creation, and start paying. Scope covers activation across every acquisition channel, the free-to-paid funnel, lifecycle retention, and the experimentation system behind them.

The company serves millions of users worldwide with AI tools for making videos, images, visuals, characters, and stories. Revenue grew 7x last year. It is launching a new 'vibe directing' category and expanding into Brazil, India, and Europe, and the next 12 months of growth work are expected to be category-defining.

You will work directly with the founders, a distributed engineering team, and the marketing and lifecycle leads.

Responsibilities

  • Redesign onboarding so it becomes the strongest part of the funnel. Each channel currently sends new users into roughly the same flow, so find where each cohort drops off, build channel-specific onboarding where it pays off, and raise activation.
  • Improve conversion for each channel. Work with marketing on paid acquisition, SEO, and viral loops to get the highest possible conversion from every click and every dollar spent.
  • Grow free-to-paid conversion. Own the paywall, pricing tests, plan packaging, and upsell flows, and build a PLG monetization engine that scales with the user base.
  • Build the experimentation system. Run a steady schedule of adequately powered tests with clear readouts and sound decisions, favouring rigour over volume.
  • Own retention and lifecycle messaging across email, push, in-app, and win-back campaigns that turn one-time visitors into weekly creators.
  • Lead growth for launches, including the new vibe directing category, invite-code programs, and new market entries. Own instrumentation, funnel design, and reporting from day one.
  • Work with high autonomy and ship quickly, with direct access to founders and engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of growth product management at a PLG consumer or prosumer company.
  • A record of moving real metrics such as new-user activation, channel conversion, free-to-paid conversion, and retention, with specifics you can walk through.
  • Hands-on experience redesigning onboarding for different sources (paid, organic, viral, partnerships), including what worked and what did not.
  • Solid experimentation skills: power analysis, sample sizing, holdouts versus A/B tests, sequential testing pitfalls, and reading noisy results honestly.
  • Working knowledge of Amplitude or similar, Stripe, attribution tools (Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, GA4), and lifecycle platforms (Customer.io, Iterable, Braze, or similar).
  • Analytical and comfortable with SQL or analytics dashboards, pulling your own data rather than waiting for it.
  • Strong product judgment: you can read a funnel, speak with a few users, and quickly find the largest opportunity.
  • Able to work across time zones with a distributed engineering team.
  • Use AI tools routinely in your daily work to improve productivity, creativity, and decision-making.
  • Experience with global growth: localized onboarding, regional payment methods, and country-specific channels, especially in APAC, LATAM, or Europe.
  • Background in consumer or generative AI products.
  • Pricing and packaging experience at a subscription business.
  • SEO or programmatic SEO background.
  • Creative tools or design software background, such as Adobe, Canva, Figma, or similar.
  • Experience as the first growth PM hire, with a clear sense of how to build the function as you go.

Conditions

Total compensation of $300k-$400k, including base salary, bonus, and equity, set according to experience.

Meaningful equity in what you build.

Bay Area preferred, with hybrid work available.

Visa sponsorship available.

Benefits

  • Large growth potential: millions of users, fast-growing revenue, and a paywall that has not yet been seriously optimized.
  • Launches that matter: the new vibe directing category, global expansion, and new model capabilities, all needing a growth owner from the start.
  • Growth in a fast-expanding product category, with revenue up 7x last year and the company among the category's leaders.
  • High ownership and little process, with a focus on judgment, clarity, and speed over bureaucracy.
  • Engineering led by founders who are both technical and deeply involved in product and architecture.
