Working Student - Technical Product Manager (hybrid)

Description

The company runs cloud and hosting services for more than 6.2 million customers worldwide and is one of Europe's largest hosting providers.

It develops independent cloud products, including sovereign cloud architectures, high-performance GPU clusters and AI automation tools, for SMBs and large enterprises.

Teams work in an agile way within open, transparent structures.

The mail and media unit runs two of Germany's largest internet portals and an international portal, reaching over 39 million users a month and hosting 55% of Germany's email accounts.

It also runs a news section, Germany's most popular free email service, and paid subscriptions such as paid email accounts, virus protection and web hosting.

In Romania, the team builds an online office editor, messaging, lottery and web hosting products and contributes to the LibreOffice open source community.

Responsibilities

• Help the other TPMs gather product requirements.
• Write requirements documents, including use cases, business process diagrams and wireframes.
• Prepare reports on ongoing topics and help the TPMs check project status.
• Grasp the business and technical context of issues so you can help with decisions.
• Learn how the full software development process works and what goes into a great product.
• Come up with practical solutions to problems as they arise.
• Pick up the technologies, processes and tools needed to drive project delivery.
• Test key subscription journeys (purchases, upgrades, renewals and cancellations), log issues and confirm fixes with the product and development teams.
• Maintain customer email templates for premium and subscription users, including welcome messages, renewal reminders and subscription change confirmations.
• Check templates before release for accurate content, personalization, links and consistent rendering across email clients.

Requirements

• Appreciated: understanding of web development processes and technologies such as Spring Boot/Cloud, REST and HTML/JavaScript.
• Appreciated: technical understanding of microservices architecture.
• Appreciated: knowledge of online marketing and sales environments.
• Appreciated: excellent English.
• Appreciated: know-how in agile methodologies.
