Description

The company builds low-level software for next-generation automotive real-time processors.

This role owns the product roadmap, strategy and delivery across real-time drivers, firmware, security and board support packages, from silicon through to system integration.

The role supports system bring-up, software quality and scalable customer rollout in software-defined vehicle architectures.

Success means better first-time-right software, fewer customer escalations, tighter alignment across teams, faster customer enablement and NPI, and reliable system-level bring-up readiness for new platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Define, run and own the roadmap for low-level real-time software: drivers, BSP, RTOS and the real-time hypervisor for virtualisation and isolation.
  • Own the roadmap for system management, covering boot, firmware services and PMIC control.
  • Own the roadmap for security, covering secure boot, cryptography and key management.
  • Turn requirements from OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and system teams into clear feature definitions and priorities.
  • Weigh timeline against quality, performance, safety, security and scalability.
  • Oversee boot and power sequencing.
  • Enable drivers and peripherals including CAN, LIN, DDR, PCIe and Ethernet.
  • Oversee system firmware and the safety and security framework.
  • Push adoption of AI-assisted tools across the software lifecycle.
  • Define and deliver an AI-driven customer experience on the platform.
  • Make sure low-level software supports full platform bring-up and system-level readiness, not just feature delivery.
  • Act as the single owner linking software R&D, applications engineering, and product and systems engineering; manage dependencies and keep teams aligned.
  • Own delivery from pre-silicon bring-up and NPI through customer deployment and maintenance.
  • Track and report system readiness, risks, dependencies, execution gaps and mitigation plans.
  • Talk with OEMs and Tier 1 partners about their real requirements and turn their feedback into product improvements.
  • Simplify usability and reduce complexity to speed up adoption and design wins.
  • Present low-level software in customer discussions on bring-up, performance, safety and security.

Requirements

  • You have 10+ years in embedded software, automotive systems or a related field.
  • You have deep low-level software experience with drivers, bootloaders, firmware and BSP.
  • You have hands-on work with AUTOSAR, RTOS or Zephyr environments.
  • You have a background in product management, technical leadership or system architecture.
  • You have a solid grasp of system bring-up and HW/SW integration problems.
  • Preferred: experience with automotive SoCs or industrial systems.
  • Preferred: familiarity with ISO 26262 safety and with ISO 21434 and HSE security.
  • Preferred: experience with CI/CD and OTA software delivery.
  • Preferred: experience enabling AI-assisted development tools.
  • Preferred: experience enabling AI-driven developer and customer workflows.
  • Preferred: customer-facing experience with OEMs or Tier 1s.
