Description

The company runs a search AI platform that helps people find the answers they need in real time, across all their data, at scale.

Streams is the company's telemetry pipeline and the shared ingest layer for Observability, Security, and Search. It collects data from any source, processes and routes it, and stores it in Elasticsearch or in the customer's own object storage. It is built on open standards such as OpenTelemetry and Prometheus.

This role owns Streams from end to end and leads the product managers who work on it. The goal is to make the platform the easiest place to bring data in, for every solution and every customer.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and roadmap for data collection, ingestion, processing, routing, and the integrations framework.
  • Define and track KPIs that measure product and feature adoption.
  • Work with the Observability, Security, and Search product leaders to build a shared service all of them can use.
  • Make data ingestion self-service, with time to first data measured in minutes.
  • Lead a distributed team of product managers and help them deliver measurable results.
  • Set roadmap priorities using input from customers, internal teams, and the community.
  • Work with engineers and designers to scope and shape strong features.
  • Give sales, marketing, and partners clear messaging and positioning.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product management, with at least 4+ years leading PM teams in data infrastructure, observability, or data pipelines.
  • Strong technical understanding of telemetry ingest, including OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, log processing, routing, and agent management.
  • Experience shipping SaaS products with usage-based pricing and building platform capabilities that several product lines share.
  • Clear, excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Familiarity with the company Stack would be a plus.

Conditions

Pay is base salary only, with no variable compensation component.

The typical starting salary is $199,700 to $315,900 USD. In Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area, the typical starting range is $239,800 to $379,300 USD.

These ranges are the lowest to highest the company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual pay may fall above or below them, and the ranges may change.

Where someone sits in the range depends on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs.

The role is eligible for the company's stock program.

The team is distributed.

The company's technology is subject to US and other export controls and licensing rules. If you are located in or are a national of Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or Russia, including the Ukrainian territories Russia has annexed (Crimea, the DNR, LNR, Kherson, or Zaporizhzhia), an export license may be required as a condition of employment. National origin and nationality do not affect eligibility.

The company welcomes people with disabilities and values diversity.

Benefits

  • Pay is based on the work you do, not on your previous salary.

  • Flexible locations and schedules for many roles.
  • A generous annual allowance of vacation days.
  • A company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings.
  • A range of benefits designed with a focus on overall well-being.
  • Benefits kept at parity across regions.
  • A company match of up to $2000 (or local currency equivalent) for financial donations and service.
