Data Product Owner

Description

The role sits in the Operations Data Products & Governance team, which works on data as a product within a governance-as-a-service model.

The team is part of a shared services organisation that supports the lines of business, working with operations, risk and compliance, technology and business leaders to deploy data products and keep data, analytics and reporting governed.

The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the company that builds payment platforms and ecosystems for more than 1.5 million customers worldwide, covering transaction processing, customer service and new product launches.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Owners to manage one or more data products.
• Collect data requirements from clients and consumers of the data products.
• Take part in refinement, product management and daily stand-ups.
• Identify business metrics lineage needs and coordinate new lineage work.
• Refine and deploy data assets that meet data governance standards.
• Lead agile ways of working and Scrum team rituals.

Requirements

• Experience with agile and waterfall development, product management or product owner work, data catalogs, Databricks, Snowflake, data quality, SQL, and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Python.
• Alteryx experience is a plus.
• Understanding of Databricks or Snowflake architecture, including data cataloging, lineage, access control and integration with governance tools such as Unity Catalog or Collibra.
• Experience deploying cloud data platform solutions on Azure or AWS for an enterprise marketplace.
• Experience using A.I. tools or agents to speed up work.
