Master Data Product Owner

Description

The team in Digital Service Solutions and Data Innovation handles a large flow of service and product data and knowledge, from end to end, to digitise processes and support commercial analysis.

The Product Information Management (PIM) platform supplies detailed the company Diagnostics product data to several commercial use cases. Using GenAI to enrich and deliver that data is a strategic priority.

This role sits in an agile team that builds and delivers data pipelines and tools for Product Master Data management (MDM) and PIM, serving internal and external customers. You will work closely with many stakeholders to keep the work aligned with business goals and user needs across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Shape the information architecture and product data model with IT and business experts, aiming for simplicity and end-to-end interoperability.
• Account for data compliance, define governance for the platform, and align it with wider standards. Guide the Data Operations team that supports it.
• Draw on a close understanding of the business processes that consume data to define business requirements, propose ideas that raise customer satisfaction, and explain the value of new data products.
• Take new data product initiatives and ongoing improvements from concept to delivery, working with cross-functional teams to hit deadlines, budget and quality targets.
• Own and rank the product backlog, and make sure the product vision is understood and delivered well.
• Support Business Process Owners through rollouts and make sure all parts of the program work together as planned. Report data-driven insights on how well the product performs.
• Work with IT and business teams so data and tool workflows run smoothly and SLAs are met.

Requirements

• You combine technical depth with business judgement to run data product lifecycles and deliver an integrated, efficient program.
• A bachelor's degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering or mathematics), or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in relevant roles, preferably in data-driven environments or product information management, with a strong interest in data modelling and analysis.
• Hands-on exposure to areas such as Product Data Management (PDM), Configure/Price/Quote (CPQ), Product Information Management (PIM), Component Content Management Systems (CCMS), omnichannel and Data Mesh.
• Familiarity with AI technologies used to enrich and deliver data, such as IDP, LLMs, vector storage, knowledge graphs and LangChain, and an understanding of how they improve business processes.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business priorities and align technical and business stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
• Good collaboration and teamwork skills, and working knowledge of agile methods.
• High motivation to grow in a fast-moving setting where the company Diagnostics commercial business meets digital technology.
