Sr Staff Technical Product Owner (m/f)

Description

The tools engineers use daily determine how quickly ideas become working products. As product manager for the company's Engineering Tools, you set direction for the Software Delivery Management (SDM) and Configurator platforms by turning the needs of engineering teams, cybersecurity staff and business leaders into a clear, ranked roadmap.

You will own the product vision, lead delivery, and help teams work faster and with more confidence. You will work with engineering, technology and operations so the tools behind the company's development lifecycle keep improving.

Responsibilities

• Manage the roadmap for Aurora, SDM, Configurator and related tools, aligning System Simulation work with business goals in one sequenced plan.
• Build and rank the backlog by weighing new features, defect fixes and technical debt in every sprint.
• Work with internal engineers and contractors on development teams to refine user stories, set acceptance criteria and keep delivery quality high.
• Measure and report business results such as shorter cycle times, more on-time deliveries and efficiency gains from SDM.
• Set the sprint rhythm and delivery milestones, including training and communication plans that keep everyone informed.
• Keep a steady communication schedule with engineering users, cybersecurity, CTO AWS support teams and contractors, covering both near-term delivery and long-term strategy.

Requirements

• Proven experience in engineering, technology or program management, with a record of leading product or tool work.
• Nice to have: a relevant bachelor's or master's degree. Experience and professional achievements count for more.
• Preferred: hands-on work with System Simulation tools such as Configurator, cMLA (Continuous Machine Learning Architecture) or Park Condition Repository.
• Preferred: familiarity with Agile methods and sprint-based delivery.
• Preferred: software programming experience that helps you work with development teams.
• Preferred: clear communication, in writing and speaking, with both hands-on staff and senior leaders.
• Preferred: ability to analyze problems, design solutions and drive them to completion.

For US-based positions, the pay range is $120,000.00 to $199,900.00.

A geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary applies in certain areas.

Pay depends on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
