Description

The role is hybrid, with an expectation of working from an HPE office on average 2 days per week.

The company is a global edge-to-cloud technology business that helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on data and applications, from edge to cloud.

The Cybersecurity team is already using Frontier AI models to find security vulnerabilities faster and at greater scale than was possible a year ago.

The team needs a Frontier AI Product Owner & Program Leader to scale this work across the enterprise and to work with the most advanced AI models available, turning proven approaches into repeatable capabilities.

Advanced AI models can find, reason about and, in some cases, exploit security weaknesses at machine speed. The company is building sustainable, AI-enabled capabilities to find and fix vulnerabilities earlier, strengthen product development and help teams stay ahead of emerging threats.

This is a senior individual contributor role supported by a project manager (PMO), working closely with senior executives. The initial focus is scaling AI-enabled product security testing and integrating it into the secure development lifecycle. Later, the role will extend Frontier AI to other cybersecurity use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Frontier AI product roadmap and priorities, turning cybersecurity goals and new AI capabilities into work ranked by risk, business value, technical feasibility, dependencies and what the team can learn.
  • Set up Agile ways of working across the program, with one consistent approach to prioritizing, planning, delivering, reviewing and measuring work across several technical workstreams.
  • Lead delivery from start to finish across the Frontier AI portfolio, linking onboarding, testing, validation, remediation and retesting to longer-term integration into repeatable cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Work with business-unit leaders to choose products and use cases, secure their participation, act on their feedback and make trade-offs that keep the most valuable work moving.
  • Own the integrated program view and executive reporting. Set success measures, track progress and risk reduction, combine financial and performance data, and give leaders a short view of outcomes, risks, investment, blockers and the decisions they need to make.
  • Identify program risks and constraints early, such as handling of sensitive data, model access, infrastructure, scarce specialist talent, third-party dependencies and organizational readiness.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Significant experience as an Agile product owner, program leader or delivery leader on complex enterprise cybersecurity initiatives, hands on with roadmaps, backlogs, prioritization, incremental delivery and outcomes.
  • Proven experience applying agile product and delivery practices across several cybersecurity domains.
  • Working knowledge of AI and emerging AI capabilities, with hands-on interest or experience using LLMs, AI coding assistants or agentic workflows. Prior experience leading an AI program is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to turn emerging or highly technical subject matter into structured roadmaps, executive decisions, clear ownership and measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders, technical experts, product teams and cross-functional partners without direct authority.
  • Strong grasp of dependency management, cyber risk, financial oversight and executive reporting.
  • A clear, confident communicator who works well in fast-changing, high-visibility settings.
  • You have broad cybersecurity experience and enough technical depth to engage credibly with experts in different security domains, challenge assumptions and connect the work to business and risk outcomes.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can build a structured path forward for something that does not yet fully exist.

Conditions

Hybrid work: on average 2 days per week in an HPE office.

Annual base salary in the United States of America: USD 140,000 to 321,000 in Texas and Virginia, depending on location, experience, education, training and skill level.

Variable incentives may also be offered on top of base salary.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants with disabilities and veterans, and decides on qualifications, merit and business need.

The company will follow all applicable laws on the use of arrest and conviction records in hiring.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health, financial and emotional wellbeing benefits for team members and their families.
  • Career development programs, including paths to become a recognized expert in your field or to move into another division.
